Thread: Janta blood Poison Resist Pack Crafting Mystery

Last night, I was messing around w/ Enhance Poison Resist packs and crafting them w/ and without Janta Blood. I used the same resources in the C pack and the same resources in both B packs. All packs were experimented for effectiveness until it was maxed out and then experimented for charges, always having 2 points to put into charges at the end. All experimentations were "great success" or better. I have a +20 med exp and +25 med assembly in my suit. Here are the results from the experiment.



b pack, 233 power base, 275 w/ blood. C pack, 219 power base, 260 power w/ blood. both are base blood.

Enhance Poison Resist B pack w/ 15 power ABEC's
233 power

Enhance Poison Resist B pack w/ 100 power Janta blood
275 power

Enhance Poison Resist C pack w/ 15 power ABEC's
219 power (85% experimented effectiveness)

Enhance Poison Resist C pack w/ 100 power Janta Blood
260 power



What makes no sense at all to me is that a 100 power janta blood only increased my power by about 41/42 points. In stims, buffs, poison cures, whatever you might put Janta blood in, Janta blood adds 100 power to your product, minus what your abec was. Theoreticly, my Janta blood Poison Resist C pack should of come out to 304 effectiveness, but it doesn't seem to be the case here. I ran another experiment and came up w/ the same results in for the janta blood packs.

Quesetion/Comments/Answers? If I left something out, plz ask about it.I'm anxious to know if this is a bug or this is how it is suppose to be.

Clearly the sub is not a 1:1 add. Looks like a 2:1.

Correct. I had the same results when I tried it. the subcomponents only count 2:1

Lacci - Master Doc / Musician 4000 / Dancer 4003 (+25 med exp, +25 med assy, +25 music enh, +25 dance enh)

The way subs add to buffs, stims and woundpacks was figured out here, by players. I guess we hadn't put the work into the resist buffs yet. the devs have given us very little in the way of explanations into the inner workings of the crafting system.

Is it possible that it was gated by the resource stats? Both times he stated he had 2 experimentation points left over.

Subs add to whatever the resources are able to give. Assuming he used the same resources for both packs, the difference in the products tells us how the subs are factored in. It this case, it seems rather conclusive that the power of BECs contributes to the effectiveness of resist buffs via a 2:1 conversion.

If you haven't noticed there is an absorbtion rate on resist pack c's without exp this mod it will stay 6. Reason being the decrease in power.....
