Thread: Why I like, and use, Stim D's

using advanced parts in stims that have slots that require more than one component is currently (meaning before the big patch...no idea if this bug is fixed there) pointless because those slots ignore the modifiers on the components. This affects every crafting class...i learned about it from a weaponsmith friend of mine.

With the cost of crafting D's in mind, does anyone here sell D's on the market (i.e. bazaar)? If so, how much would you ask?

If I would ever offer Stim D in my vendor then I would probably charge between 2k-3k and it depends (if the 2x Advance BEC issue is fixed) if i used Advanced components or not.

I personally never use Stim C anymore. Why? Well, with a factory it's easy to produce tons of identical BEC's - just dump your resource stacks into the factory with a schematic and you can easily produce 100 BEC's in a few hours.

Point is, I can produce a Stim D that consistently heals for 1000+ points, using just about any combination of organic/inorganic resources. Only required resource is tatooinian fiberplast, and since I play on Tattoine anyhow, that's easy to get in large quantities.

Sure, you CAN make Stim C's with advanced components that heal as much or more than a Stim D with normal components, but why bother with the hassle of getting planet-specific resources? I'd rather use the exotic resources to make advanced components for Enhance Paks, so my buffs are better.

As far a Elenora's statement that Stim D's cost 2x as much as a Stim C, that' doesn't hold up to reality. She argues that she could make 2 Stim C for every Stim D she makes. This isn't true, because the Stim D still only requires one liquid suspension and one chem release duration mech.

Stim D = 4 components, 2 Stim C = 6 components. Easy math.

Replying to my own post (correction) hehe.

I'm at work so can't check the exact resource requirements, but as I think more about it, I don't think Stim D even require Tattoinian Fiberplast. . . I think any kind of fiberplast will do. So, Stim D's can me made with any combination of water + fiberplast +chemical (optional, because you could just use the fiberplast for both the chem release duration mechs and the final Stims)+ inorganic + organic.

Very nice not to have to worry about exotic resources, but still get a GREAT heal with lots of charges.
