Nothing to panic over but I thought I'd let you know ... they now have a new option where you can see howefficient they are. Ugh! My crafting devices were at -15 and my station at -9. As soon as I have room to move things around again I am ordering a new set made. A friend did make me one new device at -4 (still better than -15). So far the highest efficiency rating I heard on a crafting device is 4.
Please post if you hear of better. I want to know what to shoot for.

I made a 99% effectivness chem crafting tool and it shows as +14.85
in the examine window.
Get a high conductivity copper (950+) and they are easy to make if you have
eng4 cooking4 (10 exp points).

What are the effects on crafting of more (or less) efficient tools and stations?

Akoarum, you examine the tool to see the effectiveness.
Hmm. I made two food/chem tools way back, when I had Eng IV and used some great resources. I know I fully experimented on one, since I named the tool differently. The regular one is 2.38 and the high quality one is 8.05.
My bad generic crafting tool is -8.75.
Frankly, I haven't seen any difference when crafting, though. I crit fail with both tools, get a lot of "crappy" successes even with the good one.

Also... can you view the efficiency of crafting stations installed on Droids?
