hey there. just thought you guys should be aware of a problem i noticed.

i am a novice combat medic. i have a 2-1b surgical droid equipped with a lvl 2 medical module and a food/chem crafting station. ( might have more stuff in it but thats all the de that sold it to me told me about). it is listed as having a 45 medical capablity rating.

well anyways, normally i heal for anywhere from 150 to 600 with Small stimpacks -C. tonight when i got home from work i made adozen class C packs and proceeded to go heal the dancers in the cantina.

after 3 or 4 packs i whipped out my droid to start making some health poison packs. and as i was healing people i noticed i was only healing from. after burning thru 1 pack thinking maybe i had a class A that i had missnamed. in the middle of the second pack still healing for 80-175 i stored the droid and my heals immediately jumped back up to the normal 150-600 range. call the droid again and the heals dropped off to 80-200.

i also tried this with my mouse droid also with a 45 medical capability rating with the same results.

neither droid lets me heal wounds in cantinas, altho i can use it to heal wounds in the middle of a battleground, or anywhere else ive tried it.

all in all i should probly have just bought a protobot with a food/chem unit. as these medical droids currently are extremely broken.

heres hoping they fix this stuff.

"Read the other threads".....or don't and post your own feelings.

Droids are worthless under the new patch. There is no way to justify losing an expensive droid for lessened healing and enhance effects.

To the less experienced doctors, hey I bought a droid and moved away from the medical centers to give you guys more xp. Too bad it ain't working, the high level doctors will be forced back into medical centers and you can thank SOE.

Agreed. I just couldn't use anything less than a Med VI droid int he field, but I could never risk pulling it out in the field, except in a camp where I don't need the droid anyway. (At my levels, I hang with an almost Master Level Ranger whose camps are just as good as the droid would be AND they autoheal mind.)

im not talking about them affecting wound healing.

they are advesly affecting damage healing as well.

they are also overriding medical centers healing ratings. as even in a medical center if you have a low rated droid you will heal both wounds and damage for a small fraction of your capablities.

Yep they are overriding and affecting ALL heal related functions, including damage, wound and buff healing. I haven't tested but I wonder if it would also make something like cure poison less effective as well.

Droid Permadeath does nothing to help matters. I don't even WANT a droid right now, except for an ultra probot with the top level med module and crafting station in it that can hold it's own in a fight. Not so I can use it as a personal tank, mind you, but just so it doesn't perma-die on me in one hit. Even then the things are just WAY to expensive for most med-types.
