Thread: I want Doctor Missions!!
They can give entertainers missions to go dance somewhere why the heck cant we get missions to go spend some time healing in a hospital somewhere??
This would provide some income for us doctors to help offset the cost of our profession as well as help out the other players by actually encouraging Doctors to visit remote planets. The reward for the missions would of course have to pay our base expenses (either maintenance for our harvesters or cash to buy the materials needed to harvest or the cash to buy the woundpacks ect AND travel expenses)
I am really sick of doing Pro-Bono work (i think that is how you spell it i mean FREE an any case) espically since i have been a master Doc for a few weeks now. It is pretty sad when you have to start another character just to earn credits to pay for your profession.

Because the average player is making almost 7% extra cash daily?
7% daily interest is pretty big. Of course most of that money comes from missions... hmmm...
Many Docs make money from missions... we must be part of the problem.
Then again we run missions because we have no other ways to actually make money because less than 1% (old figure) of the money folks have goes out in tips.

Because by giving us doctor missions, they would be giving us more reasons to not stay in the med center.
Of course, if the mission was to sit in the med center and heal the next 5 Bothans who walk in (PC or NPC) because the "Up with Bothans" League is paying for it, that might work. Of course, there would need to be npc patients as well because the variability of waiting for PCs to show up would bite. ![]()
The artisan missions are pretty bad. And they don't give crafting xp. Trust me - we're not missing anything.
I want medical missions, too. And in keeping with the spirit of the rest of the money faucets in the game, this mission shouldn't cost me any money to do -- so no healing missions. Artisan missions, where they use a sample device they already own (and which doesn't use up charges) ... free money. Just like the marksman missions, which require no cost outlay to complete (this is more true of brawlers than of shooters, but even the cost to shooters is tiny -- a few points of degradation on your E-11, big whoop). Entertainer missions -- they already have the skills, the musicians already have their instrument -- free money. (Yeah, okay, the entertainer missions suck ... you have to pay 115 credits to fly 9km to make 80 credits back.)
So the medical missions should be to run out somewhere and perform a house call, do some first aid, and pocket the cash. I don't even need to get XP for it, I just want the money. No resources spent; net profit.
