Thread: What's the difference between amazing success and great success on the Assemble?

Occasioanlly you getan "Amazing Success" on the intital assemble (before experimentation) on an item. I've been paying very close attention to the stats and numbers of my crafts and I've noticed ZERO difference between an amazing success on the assemble and a great success. -- Maybe this is because I'm crafting Advanced BEC's and the margin is too small? Either way, if I look at the experimental effectiveness and experimental charge % numbers BEFORE experimentation -- they seem to be roughly the same regardless of whether I get a great or amazing success... Does this seem right?

I think you get an amazing success when there is a big improvent from starting position. What I watch are charges and power. As long as these are maxing out, it doesnt matter.

I have also noticed no difference between a great and amazing success. Ecksrae, what do you mean by maxing it out? I first noticed this with regular BEC's. I would get a great success and get p.2 c.2. I would get an amazing success using the same materials and still get a BEC that was p.2 c.2. There doesn't seem to be a difference in the basic component. What I'm wondering is, do you get to experiment a little more with an amazing success than a great success (assuming you have enough experimentation points)?

That'sa big negatory. You get the same number of experiment points (10 @ master doc) and in my experience, you get theexact same results both before and after experimentation (assuming you get all Great successes on the experiments)

Seems like this is broken to me. *shrug*

Never tested this, really. But a standard BEC might not be a good indicator to start with possibly because the differences it might have made may be too small to notice (they got lost in rounding of numbers, possibly). So something like an Advanced Liquid Suspendion might give a better indicator if someone wants to try and check that out.

Liquids are better to test this. I've noticed about a 5% increase with amazing over great.

weird thing is, i remember the first day of live getting a Critical Success on a BEC, needless to say the stats of a maxed Charge BEC, when no Medic could experiment it up passed 4 was amazing. Too bad ive never seen this again. (prolly got silent nerfed)
