Thread: Where do I find Skill Tapes?

Nuff said What npc's drop the good tapes. Thoght it was nightsisters but spent the weekend hunting them and no have an inentory full of shard, segments and lances but no tapes


I'd rather not pay the 1million per experiment point and at least try to find my own.

Yeah, the Borgle Bat cave has loot chests that give great tapes, so people camp it (it really has to be stopped). Lots of higher-end NPC's drop good tapes (high rank faction NPCs, Nightsisters, etc.)

The catch is, the SEA drops are totally random; the odds are better than if you take out a high level NPC you'll get a really powerful SEA, but there are no guarantees at all. The other day, for the first time in MONTHS, I looted a crystal off of a Mauler on Naboo. So you can kill Nightsisters for weeks and not see a single SEA of any type, but bop some random meatlump casually outside Coronet and suddenly you've got one.


Also, the incident of dropped SEAs is much lower now that it was in the first few months after release. I used to get SEAs of one type or another off of roughly one of every hundred swoopers I killed on Corellia, but nowadays even higher level NPCs drop them rarely.
