Where does everyone get their resources for making buff stims? Off vendors, off the bazz, or do you get them yourselves? Im specifically wondering about the special biological resources like the wheat ect as I've NEVER seen them being sold anywhere.

I get mine myself, and if a GOOD resource spawns, 3 words...hoard....hoard...hoard.

I find Lokian Wild Wheat on the bazaar all the time. It's just BIG TIME expensive.

Are you sure you're hitting "Next Items" on the bazaar under Resource Containers-->Organic (food)?

Invest in harvestors.. when a good spawn comes, harvest the hell out of it.. Make some more money.. buy more harvestors..

Docs who pump out good meds usually have a very large number of each type of heavy harvestor.. That way you can pull 500k+ of a reasource when it comes through.. I know I have 8-10 of each type and have made my money back tenfold..

And to answer the original question, I harvest myself.. never buy off vendor

Really, the best thing to do is get to know some other doctors, and start to trade resources. For instance, you gather enough wheat for 3 people, and trade them to Doc A for the Dolovite Iron he's been gathering, and to Doc B for his supply of Class 4 Liquid Petrochems. Or get into a PA with alot of doctors (mine usually has 4 at any one time, and we only have about 20 members), and trade resources with them (or if you happen to find a really good group, like we do, just store them ina central location, for anyone to use). The PA is especially great, as you can have people doing the surveying for you, allowing you to free up any wasted points. Plus, it's good to see 30 harvesters on a spawn, all with the same guild tag (if you have a habit of naming your harvesters the same way every time).

It takes time to build up a supply of the best resources, but you can make meds before then. I went from harvesting the resources for the advanced components whenever they were available, regarless of quality, to waiting for spawns with good stats. I was selling meds the whole time, even though they weren't of the quality I can make now. Now, I only drop harvestors on exceptional spawns. At first I had to spend a ton of time checking and maintaining harvestors. Now my harvestors spend most of their time in a bag on the wall of my hospital. The only resources I ever run out of now are avian and herbivore meat. Even with them, I don't actually run out entirely, I just run out of the meat with uber stats and have to go to the second tier stuff.

Once you have a good stockpile of resources, if you choose to be a meds crafter and sell stims or buffs, you'll find a whole new time sink. I was once a slave to my harvestors. I am now a slave to my factories.

gathering the startup resources is a serious chore. i've doing it for a month now, spent maybe 10-12mil credits, and am just starting to produce some good stuff. what kills me is i look at the stuff being made by the 2 or 3 really eastablished docs on my server and the quality is simply out my reach.

plus, since we haven't had an class iv, i have to sit on this massive pile of high quality avian and related high qual resources waiting for the time, maybe months from now, when i can craft enhance packs.

as it stands, i'm working on poison cures, state packs, and stim-b's. stuff everyone buys.

it is HARD work getting those resources. harvesting your own is good, but you have to hope you get a really good spawn of something. we don;t have anything good spawning at the moment (other than berries, and i have a ton harvested already) so i'm using my harvs to pull resources for other crafters. turns out that is much much easier than crafting meds. heh. keeps the maintenance paid, anyway.

its been fun. i'm a shop-a-holic so i enjoy it.

Well, I've been doing fine with selling buffs and am in the same boat as many have stated - looking around for good resources and watching SWGcraft.com like a hawk.

Whats killing me is finding meat - but even then, as long as your packs can do 2000+ ... don't get caught up on trying to match those Docs who have been established awhile with lots of hoarded resources - until you hoard enough yourself of course

If your selling packs, then price them accordingly to the power and charges being offered.

If your buffing to the public, make sure you have clothing and bivoli to get you over 2000 (Bivoli is optional if they hit 2000+ without it). Most players want to make sure they get above 2000 and more than 3 hours ... rest is gravy.

My 2 creds.
