well after reading much on these threads, why dont we "officially" post on the main ahazi forum , a polit, nice post, asking players to be more considerat and thankfull when we heal/rez them.

btr yet, we post in the dancer / musision forum and ask them for thier input, then have someone post a thread representing all three of the profesions.

it would have to be nice and not sound like we are whining.

i am willing to do this if i get some positive feedback. i would post here first, before final posting.

though persanly in the past week of master doc, when i heal players in a starports i have never yet NOT gotten a nice ty, and some have even tipped me 1-2k credits.

this is what i want to post.

hello all SWG players.

i am representing the Docs/ Dancers (?) / musician (?) community

we would like to point out that we would appreciate tips. You got healed by a doc? Plz tip. You got you BF down? Or your mind is healed? Plz tip. it can be 100 or 1k but plz show your thanks.

i am NOT talking about buffs - those are usually paid for. I am talking about heals, about the doc who heals your poison and wounds, about the dancer/ent who heals your mind. etc. etc. no need to expand we all know what i talking about.

I am talking about being nice and showing your appreciation.

PLEASE do not debate this here. Do or Do Not . but plz dont flame.

Dont say: "but you are getting xp" (all you combat proffs get xp AND cash as you kill stuff)

Dont say: "so get a combat prof” not everyone likes it.

Dont say: "well you doc's are all millionaires" yes some are. some are not. And even if so, so what? everything takes time. even healing your wounds takes time. making the wound packs cost cash and time etc etc.

Dont say: "well the entertainers are AFK"some aren’t first of all, and again, so what? are they not helping you?

So in summary . plz do not take us for granted. we provide a service. a ty and a tip will do You know how much you can afford and how much its worth to you.

BTW just to make it clear, i am master fencer / master doc, so personally i have less a prob with cash flow, and i can kill for my cash. but that is not the point - we would like recognition and appreciation.

ok what say you?

I say the idea is just plain silly.

Yes, we’re healing their wounds and what not, but let’s be honest, wound packs aren’t that expensive, nor does it take a lot of our time to hit someone with a wound pack. Whether someone wants to tip or not should be up to them. You’re throwing a load of ‘pleases’ in there to make it sound less demanding, yet it still sounds like an order, more then a request (to me anyway).

I would love to be tipped every time I heal someone, but I would prefer someone tips me because they were happy with how I treated them, rather tipping me just because they read of post on the forum.

Just out of curiosity, would you ever tip someone with a combat profession if they came out of nowhere and helped you out in the field just when you needed them? Of course, attacking something doesn’t use up any resources or cost money, but they would be helping you. I can remember on a few occasions when someone has helped me out while I was fighting. I just thank them and nine times out of ten crack a joke, before proceeding to find something else to kick my ass.

And as for tipping anyone afk – including dancers and musicians – I just don’t do it. Why should I give them my cash (which I earned somehow or another) just because they stuck on a macro?

I’m all for people appreciating getting heals from us doctors, and I’m all for making more people aware that we’d like to be tipped.

What I don’t like is the fact you’re calling yourself a representative for the doc’s community, especially – as far as I can see from this topic – you’ve only had the backing of one person, which is hardly the entire community.

this is why i posted it here first.

and you can say plz dont, or i do not agree, rather than riddicle my sincere effert to actually do something about somehting that from many posts i have read here, do bother many players.

like i said, i personly am fine, and have countless times not only healed players, but i also sometimes tip noobs out of the blue. i dont need the cash , a ty is enough for me. but in many posts doc's complain about the non-thanks they get, or the fact that they are not tipped.

it is alway easier to sit and poke fun , that get up and do.

My thoughts here. I don't really care one way or the other if you post. I'm behind you if you want to remind people that other professions need a little help too (i.e., tips for services).

However, I would venture to say that maybe 10% of the people you see on the game actually read the forums. That's just a guess. So, post all you want. I don't know how wide your audience is.

Maybe one of the lurking community elders has a better idea of number of active subscribed players versus registered/active forum users.

Sorry, we must have got our wires crossed somewhere Zaax.

While my post was more harsh then it needed to be, in no way, shape or form was i trying to make fun of your idea. You asked for people's opinions and i gave you mine.

I agreed with some of your post - like i said - i just didn't agree with the way you presented it.While you might have heard a lot of people throughout the fourm calling for us to be more appreciated, you still don't have a right to post on behalf of the entire community. Whether or not it was taken from other people as well, ultimately the message you want to post on the boards are your opinions, not the entire community's.
