Nobody pays for healing anymore man. Wounds I get small tips sometimes but your not going to get much for anything else. Hologrinding killed all that. They assume we are getting xp.

You can't control how other people pay for healing. You can control how much you pay. As a result, I always overpay for healing (medic or entertainer) regardless of whether I need it or ask for it. If someone heals my 15 stamina wounds on my TKM while I am waiting for a shuttle, I pay them 500 credits. Sure, I didn't need the healing (meditation) and 15 wounds is trivial, but I want to encourage wound healing, and more importantly, I can afford it. As you say, you can run 30K missions and make quick cash. Spreading a little of this to entertainers and medics is the least we can do.

Simple solution as always CHARGE beforehand for healing.

They ask for healing, diagnose them and come up with a price, if they dont want to pay tell them to go find a medic that needs the exp. Your not out a charge of your woundpacks and they dont have to pay, everyone is happy.

If they do pay, you get compensated for using up some of your woundpacks and they get healed super fast. Everyone is happy.

Its a win win siutation, but not many charge because they view it as greedy. Whatever.

Unfortunatly none of us have ever gotten rich from wound healing.. it is more of a favor kind of thing.. When I see people who need it I give it to them.. and it never usually bothers me not getting tipped from doing it..

I think the doc money making path typically goes like

1) Run missions and scrape money together to buy resources to grind and make some initial meds with

2) Once you master doc.. run more missions to buy that first set of buffs from an established doc

3) Your return from buffing typically can launch you, if you reinvest smartly, into building your own harvestor group and making your own meds, etc..

Would healing is a nice to do, but will unfortunatly never make you a lot of money.

Was different for me. I started late july, and finally mastered doc around october. There was no holo grinding, and I actually enjoyed playing a healer. So..I made my money from healing, I never ran missions because I didnt like to go hunting back then. I didnt complain much about no tips, but I needed money. So I started charging 1c per 1 wound.

Most people went along with it and I made enough money healing to cover the cost of bazzar resources to make more meds. It was fine for me because I didnt need to grind. I only crafted what meds I needed as well. But for those that want to grind away, I can see how charging for healing would get you no where.

I'm not actually sure if it was the holo-grinding doctors that led to this, or the fact that buffs and armor are so strong. Unless someone takes on a major amount of damage, no one seems to mind the small wounds, when you can get buffs that nullify them. I suspect that when the combat revamp hits and they change the ham and damages, along with nerfing these uber buffs/armor, we will once again see a need for wound healing.

Trust me it was like that from day one. *chuckles* Holo grinding did not start the trend of not paying for healing.
