Hey,
I got my +25 medical clothing, my 110 medical droid, and bivoli. I'm buffing right now at 2050+ on all stats (I spent tons of money for buffs). I'm sitting in coronet, selling buffs for 8k...yes, 8k. This other person is selling them for 12k for 2500 buffs.
Is it only me, or why are people willing to pay a ton of money for these buffs? 12k seems really expensive, yet everyone seems to go to this individual. I'm not a master doc yet, so maybe it'll get better for me then. Is 8k too cheap for what I'm selling them at now? How much do people want to spend?
Thanks for any information on this...right now I'm quite confused on what's going on, heh.

Idk why people have become obsessed with the 2500+ buffs. I have a decent set that I buff myself and my hunting partner for 2180. This works for us just fine. I have even sold these for 9k. and 12k on dantooine. Location plays a big part in price. If there is no one else to buff..... what other choice do they have? You're not doing anything wrong. If you want to sell buffs at a better price, get the MD tag. People look for that, and tend not to trust/want anyone else other than masters.

You ask a great question and here is my guess.
People look to see who has the highest power. They then look to see how long the lines are. Some folks will look at the duration. Then they sand in the line with thehighest power, longest durationandshortest line. Then when it is their turn the pay what the doc is asking.
8k-12k it simply does not matter to most. 4k is nothing when your sitting on a few mil and are about to run missions or go looting and make 100x that amount.
This is just what I have noticed.

ah ok, I'm right now dong buffs to master the first line...then I just need to craft up to master. I plan on getting to master, but I just wish that I got more business because it's the most logical way of getting XP at this point.
Either I heal someone over and over again, wasting stims or...
buff people to break even with the cost of the buffs and stuff.
Buffing is more fun, hehe. There seem to be more and more docs running around coronet lately. I've seen 4 today, many times there isn't even one.

I couldn't even give away a set of 1850 buffs the other day. Seriously, sat there for 30 minutes advertising free buffs 1850 (2.5 hr) and not a single person came for one. Yet the other buff lines were nice and long. The problem on Wanderhome is that there are so many master docs right now that the best buffs are only selling for 6 to 8k. And considering 6k is next to nothing for most players, they will only accept the best.

Personally, ive only buffed a line once, and i hated it. For me the difference between buffing myself, guildies, and friends for 2400 or 2500 (my currents are 2505
) is just a matter of the large amount of pride i take in my craft. Other than that, ppl are just to picky...theres no difference between a 2100 buff and a 2500+ buf when you just leveling on dant or something of the sort.

Location and timing, just as they all said. I was in Mining yesterday. I am not a buff seller, but I was buffing a friend and redoing my own way back behind the cantina. The line formed before I could stop it. They just sent money and sat down. I had to get my friend to do crowd control. I am not a master doc, just 0440. My current buffs with biv, clothes, droid are about 2100-2200.

I personally dont see the difference in buffs ranging from 1700-2500, for me its like the same thing. I have 1800 buffs that last 2.5 hours, my friend was pleased that he can get the free buff but was unsure at first about the power, after we did a couple of missions together and nothing seemed to touch him, he changed his mind about wanting 2500+ and 3.5 hours for 12K
, the duration I can understand though, an hour extra is worth more than 400 or 700 points even.

Since I've been a Master Doc, I've learned that selling buffs is more of a hassle than a benefit. For those people in line I really don't see the reason that the buffs be so high. For a long while, my best buff were 2000 with bivoli. Now I've gotten them up above 2200, but still when doing any sort of missions I really don't see a difference. The biggest improvement I've made is going from 2.5 hour buffs to 3.5 hour buffs. The only people I can really see needing the extra stat boost could be pvp'ers, because every point matters to them. But, then again, they usually have their own docs to take care of them. If you're still interested in making money as a doc; here are the things I try to do in my buffs that I find more important than the stats. First of all, try to make them all the same time. I usually craft with the same materials for all six stats so I can get identical buffs for each stat. Secondly, always buff in order. Before i reached MD, I always was annoyed when docs buffed out of order. With these two things, I've always found myself to have happy customers.

It's a bit ridiculous really. You don't really need the 2500 buffs unless you're PVPing or you're going to go wrestle Nightsisters or slay dragons or something. As an experiment I buffed myself for 1100 all stats (really crappy packs made from really crappy resources) and went hunting on Dantooine, and I did just fine. I was hunting regular stuff - pickets, huurtons, voritors etc, and I was fine. But yeah, people have gotten to expect the super high quality buffs everytime, even if they don't really need them.
The buff packs I use hit for about 1900-2000, and last about 2.2 hours. I charge 10k for a full buff. When the super-buffer with the +2300 packs, 3+ hour duration comes around chargng 10k, I just pack up my droid and leave. I'm not selling my buffs for less, I'll just sell them a different time. Like someone else said, it's all about the market. If no one else is buffing you'll find that people will be quite happy to pay for +1900 buffs.

Well from what Ive seen I guess people think that 500 or so points matter when the mobs that most of them are fighting will barely make a dent in your HAM, other than maybe your mind. Honestly the buffs you have are well worth the 8k, and work pretty well as long as the duration on them are good. But to my underdstanding, once you reach master doctor you should get a boost in your buff enhances. Also if you want some good xp, find an area like Mos Eisley on Tatooine, where a bunch of newbies start out at and give em all some free buffs, or just look for some "mid-level" players who are just roaming around on the starting planets. Also if your willing to invest in some rez paks(if you have the ability) and find someone who you can rez. As it isnt much different than the tumblers....
Myself Iusually use buff paks with about 2000-2300 enhace stats but last about 3 and a half hours, and when I do buff I usually just ask for whatever they feel its worth. most give me 10k, sometimes I get 8k, but it doesnt matter as I diddnt become a Doctor for my main source of income, as I use TKA for doing missions on dath or dantooine.
Plus I findwhoring on Corellia not my thing, asI get really annoyed by all the tells that I receive, and Id rather much go out with some friends and hunt to make money, than sitstill in one place and buff an endless line of customers.Matter of fact I beleive the number of buffs that Ive actually sold is under 30, as I usually dont advertise the fact that Im a Master Doctor, and so the buffs that I have sold are the result of someone seeing me buff myself, a friend, or guildmate.
