Ok I've had powerfull buff, and weak buffs...
I personaly could handle my own with a buff of around 1700ish, Ubese Armor, Brandy, and a trip to Dant...
What is the weakest buff you feel you could get by on?
Granted I know there are times you want the best power you can get. But for me My Alt is a MD and working on Master Swordsmen.. I find low to mid range power buffs good for most fights..
So be honest
Whats the lowest buff you'd be able to get by on for day-to-day PvE action?

I always try for at least 2000+ w/o bivoli, which is 809 base... this is enough for myself and my guild just for the grind. I do use higher buffs when the resources are available to me though, and I don't public buff, so the 54 sets of 912 base [2257 no biv, 2508 biv]/32 charge I am in the process of making will last me a good long time.

Depends on the PVE content. If you assume you'llbe using 80% kinetic armor then I'd say you don't really need alot of stat enhancement to survive. For instance, if you're going to just kill jantas then you probably only need 1500 buffs. Same if you're killing rancors. If you want to kill NS's, genosians, Corvette spawns, or DWB spawns is where the problem comes in. You need 80% kinetic/stun armor for those mobs. You also need to have 2200+ buffs -- more for places like DWB.
So it all depends. I think this is where you're gonna get screwed in the CB. If they don't tone down mobs then good luck in DWB or Corvette...heck, even the biolab will be a deathtrap.

I'm curious to see how buffs will be played out in CB... will the sub stats still affect cost/recharge, but of the darker portion of the ham bar that represents how much you can spam a move? If so, buffs will be every bit a problem as they are now, so you gotta wonder... maybe they'll get rid of sub stat buffs and leave just the ham buffs...

Im a MD and i have good buff on me (895 power)...
But when im grinding for XP or Cash... i use my 804 power w/o bivoli... This give me 2040 buff.. and its enough.
I use the other ones (895) only with bivoli and for my personnal use during high end PvE or PVP.

2000 buffs are good enough for me, which is somewhere around 820ish I think. Thats for anything, NS elders to PvP. Anything else is just plan overkill. Who cares at that point.

I'm happy if I can hit 2000 w/o bivoli too
But people on the docforum can use high end stims to regen the whole HAM bar in one go. I'd guess that increased defences (more than one combat prof) would mean 2000 would be ok for non-medics for jantas etc, but without armour and a centre macro running, it may not be enough.

I am a non-crafting Doc (4,4,4,0) and do fine withlow end buffswhile grinding Carbine xp. I can get away with as low as 1k to action secondaries but, need to stim and watch my wounds. If the secondary buffs are high enough,I barely need a heath and action buffs but, they are a nice buffer. With 1500 to 2000 all round buffs, I can generally shrug off anythingI will find from a mission terminal. I usually wear high kinetic comp boots, gloves, chest and helm.

Secondaries will be soft capped. This means you'll always have a HAM cost for special moves. Moreover, you'll have a bar (similar to a force bar) that is for your special moves. Devs have said it will charge quickly, but will eliminate the ability to spam specials. Buffs themselves, more than likely, will take a nerf (along with armor) effectively screwing high end content.
I guarantee that nerfing armor + buffs is going to frustrate a lot of people. All this will do is make new high end content out of existing mobs. In my opinion that's a cheap way to do and just makes the game even less enjoyable.

As long as they bring down mobs to a workable level, I'll be happy for it... it will force grouping for higher end hunts and Dantooine, and that's the thing I miss the most about the "good ol' days"...
And ya, I'm familiar with how the hams will work in CB, tho I read it was more like maybe a darker part on your regular hams that represented how much you had to work with, and if you took damage it took away from your maximum move potential... er, something like that anyways... can't wait for CB really, heh.
