I just read about one guy getting extremely frustrated about getting regular tips instead of bank tips - i found this quite silly. I was a former master commando - and lost my account - so i am now starting the grind all over again. Let me first say, YOU DOCS ARE MY GODSEND!!! props to all of you - i am very thankful for the hard work you put in and everything you do for all of us. My point is - this guy refered to people who bank tip must be "a bunch of retarded noobs" or something like that. Keep in mind - when I was my old character - i constantly went out and got yall tons of resources - including those resources which were hard to get - thats why you called upon me and my pretty little flamethrower - i did this routinely.
The reason i found this funny(this persons frustration) was that I was bank tipping myself - I didnt know any better - i hadnt played in 7 months - so i was very rusty - all it took was for a buff line doc to explain it to me - there - problem resolved. Imagine that - a little bit of patience and your still making a ton of cash.
It just seems so funny to me compaining about the wrong way to RECIEVE a butt load of cash. Now i assume this inconveniences you in some way - but come on - your stil getting a ton of cash. And if indeed it was a noob who just bought the game - imagine how long it took for him to get that amount of cash - and then this idiot keeps it and doesnt buff him like he so eloquently put was his way of dealing with a regular bank tip. Heres my response to that(and I wish i had the posters name - sorry - i was too enraged to get it before writing this)Had he done that to me - being freshly back in the game - my entire guild would have went to great lengths (including Jedi's) in making his life miserable. That is incredibly devious and gives all you well deserving docs a terrible name - I hope you all discourage this kind of play - you truly do not need idiots like this amongst your ranks.
So thats it - please dont get me wrong - I am extremely appreciative of you all - I just think you all need to get a tight leesh on peeps like this or it will tarnish the whole doctor profession.

Thank you for the kind words and setting the record correct for us Master Doc's. I agree with you and being a Master Doc I didn't agree with that poster.

Well you have to look at it from the Doc's point of view... no I'm not agreeing with the way he posted, but the reason he posted was valid. On most servers now Docs have adopted a method of line tracking by taking bank tips and buffing in order of the emails recieved. This is generally easier for them, and in some ways for the customer as well... there are known problems with it, like not knowing where you are in line, and the fact that only bank tips work for this method, but there are problems with the physical line method as well, like not being able to go AFK while you wait.
The poster is one that uses the bank tip/email method and getting normal tips is frustrating when it's in their macro b/c they have to go back and tip it back to the person, or try to keep track of where they were in line... sure this doesn't seem like a big deal, but get 10+ people on a busy day doing it in the span of 5-10 min and I assure you it can become frustrating indeed.

I have 20 bank tips.
7 are buffed 13 more to go.
Then I get Mr. Im Too Sexy For Your Banktip.
I am NOT going to try and remember him after buffing 13 more people and have more bank tips in line further confusing the random tip.

If he can senda mail then he can send a bank tip which is EASIER than sending the aforementioned mail.

I don't know of a single doctor that doesnt specify bank tips only on the sunrunner galaxy... dont get how regular tips can possibly help at all, if you don't know where you are in line than look to see whos around before you tip and you should have a pretty good estimate

*shrug* I was on Sunrunner for awhile and I didn't even know what the bank tip method was til I got there... it's a physical line, pay when you get up to the front method on Shadowfire, but you can't just tip and go AFK and come back to buffage like you can with the bank tip method.

well, i have a better understanding of what you all have to deal with now - I personally do not send a tip til the doc says - Mal - your up man - then I gladly give him a fat, well deserved wad of cash, and shortly after i am off to fry all that i come in contact with - because that doc turned me into the billion dollar man - insert sound effects now.
I have had one instance where the doc said he buffed me well - and they were actually crappy buffs - and my toon was in tip top shape, chalked that one up to exp and checked all my stats before leaving and my time frames.
I do have 1 idea for you all - and the only reason im even involved in a doc thread, being a commando is i love working hand and hand with you all - is this. for your benefit only maybe yall should include in a macro to ask these peeps you are buffing to bring you back harvested stuff that you may need to make more buffs - maybe you can give them a discount on their next buff. I personally bring back all my harvested resources to help the doc who helped me - being that i hunt big game only - i imagine anything would help you all - especially the good stuff - after all - i dont use it at all. Food for thought
You all rock - thanks for helping understand this process a bit more - it really helped a lot - and if any of yall need resources on the gorath server - send me an email - im happy to go out and kill all of gods creation for you - after all you scratch my back - ill scratch yours

I see no justification in keeping the guys credits and not buffing him.
[[Edit]] One more thing... As far as not being able to go AFK because you're in a physical line... Youremember the /follow command? Just /follow the person in front of you and be back before you get to the head of the line. If you're planning on being gone longer than that, you should wait on getting buffed so that you don't waste buff time.

You know it is funny... there are people who refuse bank tips, which I always though was silly (personal opinion), but I have never heard of someone who refuses regular tips until now.
I prefer bank tips for tracking purposes. Sometimes if someone regular tips me and I wasn't paying attention or they tip me when it is not their turn, then I have to go back through the chat log to find it. I would just "trust" them, but there are too many devious punks out there for that. So it holds up the line and some people have the nerve to throw up the Zzzzzzz... which perturbs me so.
To make a long story... well not as long, I never understood why people refuse any type of payment. I guess it is a matter of opinion which everyone is entitled to.
***TIP*** Create a chat tab and add "System Message" and "Personal Message" (or whatever /tell is). That way you don't have as much to sift through for tips or to see what stats you have already buffed. I call the tab "Status", but you can call it whatever you wish.

Well, as to why not to use bank tips, there is a surcharge. It is not a lot, but for those who do not have a lot it can add up and to be honest, why pay the extra to the game (money sink) when you can save it for someone IG?

A 1000 credit surcharge really doesnt mean anything at all... I never needed buffs until I started doing mission on Dant and you can easily make the money for the buff + surcharge in 10 minutes (being a novice elite profession)

Why not just wait till it is there turn to pay? I don't care if it is bank or regular tip. The line, make em wait oh darn they can't go afk? I hate afk'rs. So if they go afk and can't move with the line then oh well. I take payment right before I buff. If someone bank tips or regular tips before there turn I tell em soand regular tip them back.
