First I would like to appolgize for intruding on your forum, but I am a register holo-addict in search of my silent profession and would like to ask for some help on deciding which elite profession of yours I should accomplish first.

I completed Master Medic last night and have the ranged support tree in Marksman, so I can go either way at this point.

Crafting comes easy to me since I started as an artisan, so my main concern is, which profession will help me more with completing the other in terms of the medical experience.

I thank you in advance for sharing your hard work and experience.

Go doctor first. Both sides require a lot of medical experience. The skills available in doctor (enhance, revive, and bonuses to wound treatment) will increase your ability to gain medical experience.

Check out the FAQ - there's a holo-grinder section there which will help you with some concepts for garnering XP as fast as possible.

If you can get into some big combat groups, Combat Medic will go much faster with the help of Area stims. Basically with one throw you can heal a dozend people at once. XP will come flooding in. then once youve mastered CM you can max out your healing xp and get a jump on Doctor.

Cant comment on CM, but looking at a set of doctors buffs.. if I could get it they would be worth around 5k XP per set , minimum.

From a crafting perspective the Medical Crafting line in doctor improves your advanced subcomponents (abec, als, achem, asolid) such that your medical items when you do start making Combat Medic kit are better.

I'd compare that to what you can get from an area stim in the CM forum. I don't know.

I'd say Doc first. I made all the healing XP for master CM in about 1.5 hours by selling D-level buffs cheap in Theed. I averaged around 6000 XP per set, so you get it really quick if you have enough enhances.

AoE Mind Poison, good set of ubese. Run around poisoning mobs. Watch the med XP, combat XP and XP roll in. Took me about 2 hours to go from 0/2/1/4 Doc to Master Doctor with my alt.

I went CM first. When I was ready to drop Cm and go Doc I had 80k med exp in the 'bank'. I dropped CM slowly, building up doc at the same time. Before I dropped anything I crafted a ton of Area C stims (they had CM use of 67) and ended up dropping most of my CM skills (1/0/0/4) and hit cantinas around the galaxy chuckin an area stim here and there. One night I made 175k exp in about 1 1/2 hours. I am now 2/4/4/4 Doc and should have Master Doc in no time at all.

As far as speed goes CM first.

Make area heals to get fast exp until you can make AE poison and diseases then find a very crowded newby creature area and AE them for several hundred exp per creature and since they won't die from it just keep tossing the poisons. This is by far the fastest and easiest way to get med exp.

I was able to get 400 to 500 exp times 10 creatures every 10-15 seconds. Your only problem will be needing to train every couple of minutes.
