Darkfell Delivery is restructuring in an attempt to provide more Medical Resources at a lower price. What I need from the Doctor community is some insight on how much of each resourcewe need to keep in stock.

If you could please take a moment to post what quantities of resources you use in a typical Factory Run and how often you need to replenish those resources, we will be able to maintain a better level of inventory to meet your needs.

How much any one doctor uses is certainly going to depend upon what items they craft most often. In general, though, stimpack B'sare the most commonly crafted items. Those packs require:

18 Units Lokian Wild Wheat

18 Units Tatooinian Fiberplast

16 Units Herbivore Meat

16 Units Class 4 Liquid Petro Fuel

6 Units Dantooine Berry Fruit

6 Units Talusian Water Vapor

12 Units Organic

12 Units Inorganic

*Note that, often, the ACRDM is replaced with a basic CRDM, which removes the Herbivore Meat and Class 4 Liquid Petro Fuel with 8 Units of Chemical and 8 Units of Organic.

If you have customers that are making wound packs or enhancement packs, they are also going to require the following ingredients:

16 Units Dolovite Iron

16 Units Domesticated Oats

It's hard to say how much of any one resource anyone will useas everyone makes different items, but here is my advice.

Just about everything requires BEC's - that means that doctors need more Lokian Wild Wheat and Tatooinian Fiberplast than anything else. Enhance D packs even require 3 of these things, so that's over 50 units of each resource for a single item.

Just about everything requires CRDM's as well, but usually not in as great of a quantity. Therefore, there is always going to be a demand for Class4 Liquid Petro Fuel, Herbivore Meat, and high quality Chemicals.

Some items require LS's while others require SDS's, so you'll find some doctors buying up your Dantooine Berry Fruit and Talusian Water Vapor while others will buy up your Dolovite Iron and Domesticated Oats (and I imagine some will buy both). However, there is less need for these resources (especially the Water and Berries) than any of the other resources.

There is ALWAYS a demand for very high quality organics and inorganics. They are a very important part of the crafting process. If you can find organics with OQ and PE over 900 or inorganics with OQ over 950, get as much as you can.

Although I can't give you exact numbers of what to keep in stock (as I have no idea what kind of volume you're talking about), here are some ratios for you.

Lokian Wild Wheat & Tatooinian Fiberplast: 4

High Quality Organics and Inorganics: 3

Class 4 Liquid Petro Fuel & Chemical: 2

Dolovite Iron & Domesticated Oats: 2

Dantooine Berries and Talusian Water Vapor: 1

Basically, by this, I mean that, for every unit of Talusian Water Vapor that you acquire, get yourself about 4 units of Lokian Wild Wheat. These numbers might vary for you a little, but it should be a pretty good starting point for you.

I personally don't buy resources, but will try to help you. Because I sell crates of stims and wound packs....plus my Pet Stims, I use more Liquids then Solids. I however only make advanced components. I can burn through 3000 advanced Chem, advanced liquid, and 6000 advanced BECs in 1 day. So you do the math. LoL I know a very high selling item will be Avian Meat. Hey if your on Gorath and get get a bunch of fish I will even break my vow not to buy resources. I will say this though. When I was grind to BE (Hate crafting so sorry I couldn't help but grind) I ended up buying about 705k credits worth of meat. I didn't want to tap into my good resources just to lvl BE. After my grind to Master BE was complete I told myself never again will I be ripped of buy people that don't actually pay to get resources (IE use Harvesters). So I don't.

Actually, you do have to pay to harvest resources with a harvester. It costs credits (in the form of maintenance) and power (which also costs something). Of course, if you have a high quality harvester and you're on a good source, the cost per unit of resources is something along the lines of 0.5 credits per unit.

The real cost of getting resources is the time hunting them down. Jumping from planet to planet - locating quality resources - finding a good source - and plopping down a harvester(s). The monetary cost is small, but the time cost can be quite high, depending upon what you're hunting for.

Of course, there are those that like to gouge the market for all it's worth and sell resources for 10 cpu or more (especially those that like to speculate on the market). However, that's a different story.

For some of us, myself included, I can't afford the time required to be a resource hound. Therefore, when I buy resources, I'm paying for the service of hunting down those resources as much as I'm paying for the resources themselves.

Doh I either said it wrong or you read it wrong. what I meant was I'm not paying for resources unless people use a harvester to get them. There is more then enough SWG Resource based page out there to atleast narrow down your hunt.....but yes, placing a harvest requires much more time then getting Meat IMOHO (In my own humble opinion)
