Thread: Is it ALWAYS better to used advanced components?

Just wondering if it's always better to used advanced components over regular components, if the quality of the resources for the advanced component is far lower than the resources for the regular component.

For example if my Lokian Wild Wheat is 700 oq 39 pe, which is what's available on Lok right now, and 670 oq Tat Fiberplast, would it be better to go with regular organic and inorganics that have 900s for those stats?

Any info would be great.

As far as I know, advanced components (even those made with awful resources), will always be superior to normal components (even those made with exceptional resources).

That said, you can always make a more powerful item using advanced components than with regular components. However, it might be much cheaper to make the item using regular components than with advanced. If that's the case, you might want to weigh the extra cost with the extra performance of using advanced components.

However, from your statement, I assume that you're trying to make ABEC's with max power. You might want to rethink that and go with max charges. It's an opinion thing and certainly off topic, but I find it the better way to go.

Advanced Components almost always beat the regular components no matter how weak your advanced resources are.

I've used horrible herbivore meat (100oq, 200pe) and medium class 4 liquid petro (400oq, 800pe) and can get ACRDM'sthat are about 10-15 power higher than my best normal CRDM's (experimented to 98%). So, you are always better off using advanced components.

Hope this helps!

For Stims using ABEC and ALS are prefered. As for the ACRDM, they can be used but I find they are more useful for enhance packs.

Short answer is no. As others have said, you will (almost) always get better results than with regular resources, but the resource cost is higher in most cases as well. Many people don't use ACDRMs on a regular basis, for example. I will occasionally make items with standard BECs or standard SDDs to reduce the cost of the final product. I always use ALSs.

These aren't as bad as you might think. Depending on the UT of the fiberplast, you should get around 18 to 20 charges out those resources.

Personally, I don't think they matter so much on the HealState packs. I always carry crates of them around anyways, and gaining a few charges isn't worth the effort. Don't think thier power is affected by advanced comps.

Regular sub-components crank out of factory faster andare cheaper.

For everything else, absolutly, advanced components are the difference in a 170/20 power Stim B and a 360/35 one. Double the power and can sell for 3 times as much.

I can make 390/35 Stim Bs using normal CRDMs, think the power was 17 on em along with a 171 ALS and 18/12 ABEC. Picked up the tip from this forum and it's been great when guild mates want stims but can't afford or hunt the 800 units of herb meat. I can also sell them at a reduced price to dancers and ch's.
