Thread: Help With Medical Pricing
A lot of info can be gleaned from your server's trade forum, especially for determining the value of meats and other resources. There are several variables in pricing. They include but aren't limited to: your server's economy, your cost in acquiring resources and paying maintenance/power on your factories/harvesters, the profit margin you want to realize, travel costs, and time costs. Many of these are subjective, but if your server has a well-stocked medical vendor somewhere, it may be worth a visit to check out the competition. It's difficult to set a standard price because everybody's costs are different and everybodyvalues their time differently. I'd suggest you figure out your cost, multiply it by the profit margin you want (for a 200% profit margin, multiply by 2, for a 250% profit margin, multiply by 2.5, etc.), then add the cost to that value. (Cost x Profit Margin) + Cost = Price (round this off to a nice number, people like nice numbers LOL)
Here's a suggestion - look at the number of resources used, and start off by pricing at a set cpu. I would suggest 6 to 8 cpu. For the items that are fast movers, slowly up the price. If something stops selling, bring the price down a bit until it starts selling again. Eventually you will settle on a good value for each item (some items will have much higher cpu values than others), but even at 6 cpu, you should be making a good profit.
