Thread: CRDM Crafting Question
Generally you want to use a chemical without PE. If it has no PE, the PE of the organic will be used for the entire 33%. If the chemical has PE, then it will account for half of the 33%. This will drag down the final max, unless the chemical has a higher PE than the organic.
Now, if you happen to find a chemical with really great OQ and PE, then you can also pair this with an organic with high OQ and no PE (i.e. wood).
Agreed. The way the crafting system works you normally are better off using two resources that have the stat the other resources lacks (so one has PE while the other has UT, you won't find a combination of org/inorg that has both PE and UT on both resources.) However, what this does, in effect, to your 66/33 formula is to actually turn it into a 50/50 forumula. So your your PE and UT ratings tend to gain a certain amount of importance.
Now eventually I expect they may do something about that whole resource-stats-do-or don't-equal-0-depending-on-what-stats-the-other-resources-have, thing. But until then, that's how it works out.
That is exactly what I thought. Many thanks for clarifying this.
I must say...I just switched to a medical class from CH and I am really enjoying the subtile nature of collecting just the right resources.

... but yes, don't waste good herbivore meat on making bad Adv. CRDMs, just do it if you happen to have a load kicking about from a hunt or something. It'll be fine for wound packs and what have you.

Incidentally, my "B" wound packs are 174 power with 40+ charges at the moment, how does that compare with other doctor's packs ?
That's really very good. Usually, you don't see the same level of commitment to excellence in wound packs as you do to some of the other medical items. I usually made some that came out to about 40/150-160 and, for most folks, that was sufficient. However, I actually set out to make some nice packs at one point and ended up with some 41/200's. Those are still the best I've seen (at least on Flurry), but I don't go medpack shopping very often, either.
Wow mcglonec your crafting FAQ is just awesome. I suspected all the info you presented yet I had not brought it intoone clear picture. I made myself a nice little Excel spreadsheet and now I can drop my resources in while cruising www.swgcraft.com and know exactly which Iwant.
The power on the packs I don't experiment, it's 174 base, I just experiment up the charges - I might try it with some high charge ABECs next, I've got resources that will let me make 22 power / 12 charge ABECs, so I'll try experimenting them the other way and see what the max number of charges I can get is as 174 is a little too powerful unless you're healing pets or the person's been diseased.
