I have been to SWGCraft.com and i have read up on the meats. Right now im looking for Herb meat so i can use it in my Factory. Is there only one kind of meat on each planet? Every time i kill something i get the same type of meat. Is this a planet wide thing, and it just gets rotated, or does it depend on the kill. I know this may sound like a noob question and it is, but i just started caring about OQ. I have been grinding before and didn't really can about the OQ on things, now that im a master doc, and i want to make good stims, im worried about the OQ.

Right now i have a little Apefifoi herb meat that i got from a friend, I would like more of it. It is a corellian meat, but when i kill things on Corellia, all im getting is a really bad OQ meat, not Apefifoi. Are the herb meats on rotation between planets, one planet gets a good one this time around, another planet after a resource shift. I just dont understand. Please someone enlighten me and again, sorry about the dumb question.

Meat is planet specific, ie, all the herbivore meat on Corellia is the same.

Also, the stats on meat / hides / bone shift just like any other resource.

You probably have last weeks spawn, and what you are seeing is this weeks garbage spawn.

Actually there are times when one planet might have multiple types of a meat, but the same animals will always drop the same meat during any given cycle. Generally, though, most meats will be the same for all animals on a given planet in a given cycle. Just be aware that this isn't always the case.

Although this does occur, it seems pretty rare. Perhaps it's even a bug, but I'm not sure. However, when it does happen, I've happen two identical animals (2 tortons, for example) drop different hides, one right after the other. Like I said, though, this is extremely rare - to the point at which I think it might be a bug when it does occur, but I have no way to verify that.

But, as has been mentioned, creature resources (hide, meat, and bone) shift just like anything else. It's easy to compare them to planetary resources like fiberplast. At any given time, any planet will have some fiberplast specific to that planet (Tatooinian Fiberplast, Corellian Fiberplast, etc). As that fiberplast is specific to that planet, you can't find it anywhere else - you can't find Tatooinian Fiberplast on Naboo, for example. And, like every other resource, fiberplast shifts over time. The Tatooinian Fiberplast available today may be gone in a couple days and replaced with some new Tatooinian Fiberplast. Once that happens, the stuff that used to be there is gone forever.

Herbivore meat behaves exactly the same way. Each meat is specific to the planet it is on and it will shift away eventually. Of course, it's a little more difficult to notice a shift in meat than in fiberplast. With a "surveyable" resource, you need only to open your survey tool to see if it has shifted or not (if the resource isn't in the list, it has shifted). With creature resources, you need to go out and "convince" some herbivore to give you some meat so you can see if it shifted or not.
