Thread: An idea for the future (based on the purposed Merchant changes)
Just thinking ahead here fellow Doctors.
This might not make much sense, I don't know, you tell me. I thought this up just now after reading so many threads about the Merchant nerf that my eyes are watering. If the purposed changes do go through, I have been hearing many possible outcomes that would be bad for the economy as well as for the crafting Doctors around. But I think I have an idea that might help if we can work together.
A Doctor's Co-op.
Yup, that's right, a per server group of Doctors that get together and decide who might specialize in what items. These Docs would not only specialize, but be able to help each other in other areas. The group could all assist with resources (for a price of course), align their pricing, compile inventory lists, and coordinate what items will go on what vendor. Heck, they could even have their vendors in one common location.
How cool would that be... a customer could visit a Medical Supply Mall. They walk in and find 5 - 25 vendors all selling items they need. Sure, there might be some duplicates, but if it's done right, the pricing would be aligned to eliminate any possible competition. Everybody wins, the Doctors sell vigorously, the customers buy vigorously and are happy because they're finding the items they need all in one place. The ultimate in One-Stop shopping in this game.
I think this idea might possibly make the Merchant/Vendor nerf workable. If nothing else, it might be fun to build and operate a group business.
OK you guys, if this sounds stupid, flame away(be gentle). But I'm just thinking outside of the Merchant/Vendor nerf box. ![]()
And I think you're wrong only in that the Merchant nerf will hurt more than you think. But that's a dicussion for another Forum
