Hey everyone. A couple Doctors from my guild have gotten together, and combined and gathered resources to create a ton of buff packs for use in our guild. We thought that the resources we were using were actually pretty good, but then we crafted a test Health buff, before we started on the factory runs. Below is a list of the ingredients we used, and their stats. I was wondering if any of you veteran Doc crafters could take a quick look at what we're using, and tell us where we're hurting. Any info would be greatly appreciated, because frankly, it's driving us nuts, haha. Here we go:


Adv. Bio Effect

Power: 23

Charge: 12

Lok Wild Wheat: OQ 991, PE 522

Tat Fiber: OQ 745, UT 907


Adv. Solid Delivery

Power: 62

Charges: 0

Dolovite Iron: OQ 694, UT 848

Domest Oats: OQ 822, PE 902


Enhance Health - D

Power: 843

Duration: 12987

Uses: 22

Avian Meat: OQ 999, PE 704

Reactive Gas: OQ 875, DR 976



That's everything we used, and the product that we ended up with. I'm thinking it's the ABEC that is hurting us, but I really have nothing to base that assumption on. If any of you see anything that sticks out, as to why our buffs are not better, I am more than interested to hear it.


Hopefully I provided enough information, if you need anything else, let me know. And, again, thank you VERY much for any insight you could provide, I am ALL ears.

At first glance the resources you used are pretty good. However, you seemed to have experimented the ABEC's to power instead of charges, thus resulting in the low amount of charges for your packs (charges on BEC's go directly into the final product). Also, I don't see any data on the CRDM you used.


Other factors that may have an influence:


- Experimentation points of the person who made the schematics

- Crafting station used for the experimentation

- Amount of "great success" or "amazing success" in the experimentation.

Bah. You're right, I forgot the Chem Mechanisms. I was just going off of what the Doctor who is crafting the packs, sent me. I believe they are around Power64 though? I'll try to get it up soon. Anyway, from the initial look at this, would you say that our resources seem fine, but it's just how we allocated our 10 exp points?


Thanks a lot for both replies, it definitly helps quite a bit, because both of us are complete newbs at crafting buff packs. Any other info that you could give, would, once again, be VERY greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot everybody.

I'm not sure just how much this affects things, but what's the power of your Crafting Tool & your Crafting Station?



Also, I think your ASDS's could gain some power. I get close to upper 90%'s on mine, using 998OQ Dolovite Iron. The power on the component is about 72.



- Checking my resource catalogue, these're what I use:

Domesticated Oats (Nabooian) Ideu : OQ 932 PE 980 DR 657

Iron (Dolovite) Conekoj : OQ 996 DR 810


15.0 Crafting tool and a 36-something Crafting station. Not the best, but they work.

Thanks a lot for all of the replies and info. You pretty much hit on what I was thinking, though it is really nice to hear it from vet Docs like yourselves. I guess they are really not bad buffs, 2300 for 3.5 hours isn't bad, especially for the resources we've had lately on Corbantis. I guess we were just expecting a bit more, but expecting it blind, because this is our first try at this. The info that ya'll provided is definitly gonna help in the future. Thanks everyone for taking the time to take a look and reply. It as all VERY helpful.

To clarify why you are "only" getting buffs in that range: the power of the gas and avian meat ends up at:

((999 + 875)/2 + 704)/2 = 820 or 82% of max. Again you're doing perfectly fine with the resources you're working with. I would also suggest going for charges on the ABEC's or at least use a somewhat more balanced version.

Do'h, I found it. I must have missed it last night, lol, sorry about that. Overall the Chem Release Mechanism looks pretty good to me, /shrug. Here it is:


Adv. Chem Release Mechanism

Power: 64

Charges: 0

Herb Meat: OQ 899, PE 526

Liq. Class 4: OQ 898, PE 910



That's it I think. What we are mainly shooting for, is power of the buffs. Again, thanks everyone and anyone for your help.

I think thats a nice pack for the stuff used to make it, the only thing I would change is what people mentioned already, and that is to experiment your ABEC's in uses rather than power, you will lose a little power but you will gain several more uses.


Resources vary from server to server as youprobably know already, that will be a huge difference, all of what you have is actually pretty close to what I produce though, your only lacking in the ASDS, I can hit 73p on those, my ABEC's are 21charges and 17power, and then ACRDM's are 60-63power. Your reactive gas has awesome duration and good OQ.


What is it that you think your lacking? I would use these or even buy them with more charges.


Not sure on the stats of my avian and gas but I am making 32/880's 3hrs27min packs (12430), I know the gas is 992 OQ and DR is like 400ish.

If your looking for more power, the only thing I see you can improve on is the dolovite and domestic oats, I actualy thought that was the ACRDM, lol mine are usually low 60s, I think you could hit 880 with better delivery shells.

Some people, when they experiment, do one box of experimentation at a time. This typically yields bad results (in the end).


You want a +43 crafting station. A +14.7 tool. You want to be in a crafting city. Eat some of the poyllyon (sp?) and some Bespin... almost always a "Guaranteed Success" and you use about 7 pointsfor the first experiment on power... then 2, then 1... and if you're a +12... put the last 2 into charges or med use... up to you.

I'm also a master doc on Corbantis and I'm assuming that you are using the current Prose Dath Avian meat and the recent Lasrae (sp?) Tolium reactive gas. If that's the case, then your buffs are in the same ballpark that mine and others are gettiing. You aren't doing anything wrong at all. The only suggestion that I would make has already been made (experiment ABEC's to charges first, then power). I would say that these are fine buffs! Keep up the good work!!
