Thread: Question for those Docs who PvP

As I'm one of those who are relatively slow to catch onto things, I'd thought I ask the other Docs who PvP a question about their gameplay.

Do y'all use Havla during fights? I know its use in quickly buffing, but it would also obviously have a great benefit in continuosly curing (with area cures now too no doubt, yay) those evil poisons and diseases thrown out by CMs.

The only drawback I'd see to this is first, obviously, one's stomach would be filled up when one could use other more direct combat/survival foods; and second, havla only lasts for a certain amount of heals (24 on my current ones), so a Doc couldn't do this forever.

No forced interaction (in an MMORPG?), but hey, the expansions sure seem forced.

It depends on the role you will be playing.

Most Master Doc/Master Combat Proff will not have room for havla after taking other defensive foods or mind enhancement foods. Also, most 'Combat Doctors' will not have the time or opportunity to get to everyone or anyone in most PvP situations.

Support Docs without combat ability will want to take havla. Support docs are usually targeted as soon as they are noticed. Its important to keep your meatshields healthy and undamaged so they can make sure you live, and in turn, they will live.

The trick to using havla is like synsteak. Eat it early.

It will only give you about 12 fast cures (one half the number listed on the food) but those heals can be used up to 1 hr after you eat it. By that time the food can be fully digested allowing you the full use of your belly for foods that have a short time span.

The bad thing that I have found is that no sooner do you eat it than does some come up and ask you for a buff.

For the most part PvP is a lot of sitting around waiting on someone to jump you or hopping around hoping to get the jump on someone else. This leaves lots of time to pop a havla.

PvP 1 on 1 havla works good first 12 or so states your enemy lands on you, don’t have any effect (cuz you can cure it in 1 sec)

PvP 6 vs 6 havla is some what useful you can keep everyone healed fast but more useful when someone gets kill you can rez and rebuff them in 7 sec flat as apposed to 90s secs with out.

PvP 20+ vs 20+ put your armor away and sit in the cloner and buff (go overt or you will get kicked out if you get a TEF), havla is not that useful, but good sometimes if your line gets backed up, also good if a jedi dies you can run out and rez and rebuff he/she with out exposing your self for too long.

And like Ceercho said, combat docs are magnets for rifleman and Jedi, in a battle I have to run in and out of the hot zone just to keep from getting killed. Take down your Doctor tag and don’t say anything in about healing anyone, chat in group or guild channels. This should keep you alive for a bit, however it will not last forever when the enemy sees you healing players for 2000+ and spaming cures they are going know you are a doc sooner or later.
