Thread: everything is an exploit

timeto time ill run across some guytumbling and someotherguy healinghim. and timeto time, ill come across some guy complaining how its an exploit of the system.
now i was at the village and some guy was there doinga rez grind then comes some guys saying how hes exploiting the system and they are going to report him. report him from getting xp i thought? how silly. these guys werent the avg complainers and they kept at it till the guy left, which is harassment
then again the guy could have used /addignore.
then again the guy could have used /addignore.anyway, since they wouldnt shut up, i explained to them that the guys methods were not an exploit. you were meant to get xp from raising the dead, thus, that is what he is doing. "they" could easily change the system to disallow rezzin the same person repeatly for xp or they could just limit the number of times one could be rezzed forcing him/her to clone eventually. BUT as it is now, that is not how the system is. "they" have alsonot given indication of any xp exploit.
i do think it is sad that we must employ such methods for our most effective xp but thats a problem with the whole system.
how do you get your xp (or how did you)? do you concern yourself with how others go about getting theirs?

I got my medical experience from doing group hunts and wound healing. I don't condone tumbling, the pet trick thing, or giving people buffs without permission. I think it's rather lame. But if that's the way you want to play, so be it.

How did I get my xp... Well, back before the days of swoops when we had to march to missions both ways up hill and in the rain I would simply craft a s_h_i_t_e load of Stim-A's (until I was able to make Stim-B's) and then go to the Theed Cantina and socialize with the entertainers, musicians and dancers (who at the time were not on the AFK Holo grind craze) and heal them as needed.
I made friends, some money, and every once in awhile someone would come in healing BF that also had some pretty serious wounds.
It is rather hard these days to find non-afk performers, but if your server has entertainers guilds and the like you might try teaming up with them. Another possibility, mentioned above, is great and that is to run missions with players as their medical support.

Im getting my xp for FS stuff by doing what docs should do...BUFF and HEAL. When I hit the 80k xp max, I go out to the village and trade it in...if someone needs heals or buffs at the village, I'll do it. If not, then I go back to Dant or Corellia and do my doc thing.
Some folks want to grind as fast as they can. The system allows for it and more power to em. I just prefer to make some coin and help some folks along the way.

lmao.....
i like how people get upset when someone finds and easier way to do something. if you think about it....someone had to decide that the phone atatched to the wall wasnt very convenient and there had to be a better way of doing things. so voila, the cell phone
i pettricked both my alts for the med xp and and i slept throught the crafting grind on both. i dont believe sitting down and crafting 4 billion biological effect controllers in any way makes u a better doc than me.
im not even 12 pt and make 930 buff packs......so, for any of you who go out and buy buff packs from other places instead of making them yourself, i say YOU are taking the easy way out.

I find most of the people that complain now have already finished their medic templates using the grinding method be it tumbling, pet trick or other. I know of a few that complain now that used that same tactic being used now. STOP COMPLAINING and play the game.... Like the title says "everything is a exploit"quit complaining cuz the devs arent fixing anything anytime soon.

While some may find using tumblers (or pet trick) distasteful, it does not violate the EULA because it is done using the in-game macro system. AFK crafting is another matter. The only way to do that is to use a third-party macro, that is a violation of the EULA and a bannable offense.

Just wanna point out that being a 12pt Doc doesn't help you with making your buffs with max power. Any 10pt Doc can do that since you only have to max out one bar. Make 930p/90mu packs, then you'll have something to brag about.

Not true. Ever see the little chicken head auto-peck things? Nothing in the EULA about mechanical means to clikc for you, just no software allowed. (my method works for schematics that can be totally filled from one resource stack, I only know of 2 that it works with, neither are med exp related)

i know for a fact that at least 50% of doctors/medics do this...prolly more

Just wanna point out that being a 12pt Doc doesn't help you with making your buffs with max power. Any 10pt Doc can do that since you only have to max out one bar. Make 930p/90mu packs, then you'll have something to brag about.
They help marginally (when you make ABECs, you'll have more point to spend on power)

umm no you can do it with ingame pure SOE macro's u just need 2 pc's and 2 accounts and lots of stim B's so no 3rd party anything is needed
Personally I did a mixture of Tumbler buffing, dancer healing and buffing but what counts imo is what u do after u hit master not how long or how you got to master !!
not everyone likes spending weeks getting to master you know.....

I suppose my way of gaining Doc XP once I'd mastered Medic on my alt was probably the strangest ... I took 0004 CM and proceeded to poison my way to Master Doc. I'm STILL at 0004 CM, BTW.
