Thread: ABEC affect BUFFS question?
As Marrow1 said, both power and charges on the ABECs translate 1:1 on the final buff packs. This makes charges a better use of experimentation points on them. Also, you shouldn't need more than 10 points to max out the effectiveness of your buffs, so you will still be able to use 1 or 2 points in charges, depending on whether you use one to lower the med use level.
Edited to fix typo in Marrow's name (sorry about that).

Thanks all... did a quick test and in using a 24/16 ABEC I got a 895/26 buffpack, then using an old 13/23 ABEC I got 884/32... much better I think. Abuffing doc, if charging 10k a buff, will make an extra 60k off the latter, so I can charge a little more myself. So I'm making some 15/23 ABECs and will use those.
Two quick tricks for making ABEC's which sometimes give a little better result depending on resouces.
1. When exp the charges try to get a few amazings in and then stop short of using the last exp point on charges. Often it will not give an extra charges and is a wasted exp point.
2. Figure out how many exp points can be used in the power (2 or 3 if your a 12 point doc). Then exp on just the power a few times to see if amazings will yeild a higher power than great successes.
More often than not you can get an exra point out on the power but it really depends on your resouces. Sometimes, however, it is more of a pain than it is worth.
Poly cake (forassembly)and bespin port (for exp) come in handy as well as a research city bonus when trying to get amazings.
I must admit that I am often way to lazy to bother with any of this but at times it can make the difference when you are trying to hit a target on the final product (like 900 power for example or 30 charges).
