If you are a hunter or doctor on Chilastra, you certainly noticed the abundance of avian meat that spawned about a week ago, on dantooine. What's good about it, is that you can get lots of it, what's great about it is that the quality is very high ... what's odd about it is that chokus drop avian meat. Unless I'm mistaking, avian means 'from the bird family'. Whisper birds give that same avian meat, which is normal but how come 4 legged little huurton-like animals give the same meat?

At first, i figured it must be a bug. Chokus dropping avian at 40-80 units per kill with master scout and veghash ... a dream come true. I'm MasterDoc with MasterSwords + novice scout and i was able to gather 4k in a day.

But I asked myself, why the heck does a creature that obviously doesn't fly, give out avian meat! Then it became obvious that the ressource ferry magically made it so that chokus would give out big amounts of avian mean. Why? To compensate for the sologroup nerfing.

It's not a bad thing, i did some nice buffs with that meat, i bought a decent quantity and probably made full time hunters very happy but does this 'magical spawn' mean that it's to be expected that meat spawns will happen anywhere on anything?

It makes completely no sense that a terrestrial animal give out avian meat. No sense at all.

I am perfectly glad that they have created a new way for hunting professions to make money, don't get me wrong, but what's next? Pikets giving out crustacian meat? If the devs realized that the sologroup nerf did more damage than expected, did they think that another illogical move would go unnoticed and compensate for the error? Come on!

I hope this approach of 'non-sense response' to a 'non-sense nerfing' will become commom practice because this game will lose more players. Give good meat spawns so that hunters can make good money, make good inorganic spawns so that merchants and surveyors can make money but please, let's not forget that if it doesn't have wings and has nothing related to birds, it doesn't qualify as avian.

Dantooine doesnt have Chokus or Avian meat....

Yes, my mistake, it's on Yavin4 but still, Chokus shouldn't give avian meat!

I guess we can call them Bird Dogs. I thought this was unusual as well. Just like the Lantern Birds on Endor drop Herbivore Meat.
