I live and die by Agent's site. It rocks. I am confused though. I am checking out my stats on my ABECs and I see this link:

It shows that Tat Fiber plast has this formula:

Power: 1 * OQ
Charges: 0.5 * OQ + 0.5 * UT

But on the Schematics page at this link:

It shows the formula as being:

Experimental Charges

Charges

66% OQ

33% UT

Experimental Effectivness

Power

66% OQ

33% PE

So which one is it? Or am I missing someting? Thanks.

Let's take the formula for charges since you should be experimenting for charges first anyway (in my opinion).

The schematic says 66%OQ and 33%UT. The way the schematic is written, it is the average of the two OQs and UTs that is used in the percentages. Therefore, there are 2 OQs and 1UT to be used:

((OQ1 + OQ2)/2)*.66 + UT1*.33

Simplifying the first term of this equation yields:

OQ1*.33 + OQ2*.33 + UT1*.33

Therefore, you can see that all three values are weighted equally in determining how far you can experiment for charges. It is also true that the same holds for power on aBECs (since the Fiberplast has no PE, the PE of the wheat is treated equally with the 2 OQs).

For a more thurough discussion of the topic, please read (or reread) the Doctor Crafting FAQ available in the stickies. It gets rather deep into the details, but it is all there (took me several reads and some experiments to convice me that it is right).

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

Thanks so much! I knew it would boil down to a formula such as this: OQ1*.33 + OQ2*.33 + UT1*.33 but I couldn't quite get it straight in my head. This clears it all up. Thanks again.

The equations listed in the actual schematics dont always line up with the truth because the devs overlooked the fact that the ingredients they chose dont always have the stats that are used in the equation.

While SWG has the best crafting system yet developed for an MMO, its still not quite perfect.

And sometimes the schematic is just flat-out wrong. The Bio-Engineer tissues for making food additives are an example of this. The schematic states that OQE:FL are weighted 33:33:33, but some experimentation determined that the results were consistent with 50:30:20.
