This is listed on the upcoming update. Could anyone explain it for me?

  • Streamlined doctor faction perks (+25% effect)
  • Added musician & dancer faction perks (+10% effect to heal wound/shock & +25% mind buff value)
  • Allow doctor, musician, dancer faction perks to work whereever they can factionally register

  • Thanks!

Seems to be a bonus for using your skills in a faction base (large enough to have a med center) that you have registered your location at (on the world map).

So this means, I can gain faction for sticking around and healing in the largest faction base but nothing until some soul drops one of those bad boys?

In our guild we have a guy who ground up to a small faction base....and then to the one just under the size to register on the planet.

Meanwhile, I'm still ponking little things with my gun trying to gain faction. Do we get any faction for healing while in combat?

Actually i don't think it refers to getting faction points at all, but getting a +25% to all healing actions taken in the Med Center on those bases where you can register.

I'm not otherwise sure what the "perks" are.

    yeah, what Z said...

No faction pts... just better heals.

Only for Docs too... Medics can't register. Don't think CM's can either...

Doctors can get alot of faction if they have specs to compliment there skills. at master doc/master pistol i have earned over 40k fp (waiting on faction trancerfer to get a new base) buff enhance my hams enough that i pay 8 mind per style i use. allowing me to chain styles.

as far as medics and faction points. support classes always get bent over. this does need to become a priority for thoes of us who like to pvp and want faction perks. but to say its imposiable is soo far from the truth.

they need to make it so all fp are split umoung members of the group not to the person dealing damage

I wish they'd implement something similar to the kill-credit/combat xp for faction points. Would make things much, much easier for us to advance faction-wise.

I was refering to the inability in PvP combat to get a faction of the points from healing much like you do in PvE combat. Maybe I've been doing it all wrong. I'm a Doc/CM with light pistol skills. I typically don't get the DB so don't get points. I always thought you were supposed to get most of your points from PvP combat, not from running missions over and over again.

There should be a PvP system that awards points just like in PvE combat. Just MO.

faction rewards are non existent in pvp. you need a 5 to 1 kill to death ration to break even. so if you want perks you need to run missions unfortunetly. what you need to do is put your self in danger and take some kills. melee get soo meny db's . at the same time put them selves int he most dangerous position.

i agree with you that they need to make it so fp are split between people in groups. but what about that one guy that is solo takeing all your groups hard earned incaps ?

Agreed Neyland. This is an issue I keep bringing it up and thinking about time and time again, and today it hit me...we keep bringing up there is no way in our class to gain faction and we have to step out of our class to gain faction, but then again, have you ever seen a dancer dance her way to more faction? (although Twi'lek lap dancing superior officers might be the ticket) Imperial Surface Marshal Chef who cooked his way to the top?

The truth of the matter is, military officers who fight and see combat are promoted higher and faster. Look at the US military. Sure desk clerk officers will get promoted but will never if ever get to be a 5-star general.

I'd like to see more faction points for working for the Empire by healing its troops but then again, I can see why not.

Darn I was hoping the Doctor Faction Perks would be some cool Medicines you could buy with faction points or something. Im still getting over my disappointment of not being able to use Rancor Bile.
