Thread: Weird bugs lately
I've been starting to have some really odd bugs lately and wanted to know if I'm alone and of any workarounds..
Theyhave to do with healing wounds. My template is master Combat Medic, Doctor 0/4/4/3 and I usually have wound pack Bs for every stat on hand and have been making Health and Action Cs for when ppl/pets come in all toasty from a run in with a Commando.
Anyhow, what has started happening in the last week is that as soon as I fully heal a wound from *ANY* stat I no longer get 'Heal Wound' up on my radial menu. Most of the time I then have to start using my wound packs from my Inventory unless I buff them. Once I buff them then it seems to randomly pick a stat or 2 that shows up under the Heal Wound radial. I can heal those and sometimes a 3rd set of wounds will show up, sometimes not. I've also noticed that I rarely get Action Wound as an option to heal, even if I have 3 Action wound packs in my inventory and their Action bar is full black. Even if I buff a stat on the person I want to heal I may get the Action option *ONCE* and then its gone again.
Its becoming a real pain to have to keep opening up my Inventory all the time to heal people.. ![]()
i have another really annoying one or two that just popped up recently afaik.
- target out of range message, yet i still throw a stim (it is used up in the process) and have a timer before the next heal
- unwise to help such a patient while being overt along with my groupmembers, also uses up a stim and puts a timer on healing. same person can be healed via throwing an AE stim and being within the radius of it.
odd
That is on the Issues list, as #44, so kind of far down there right now. I think the reason for that is most Docs have gotten so used to this bug that they tend to either set up a healing toolbar (where you drag the packs up onto the toolbar and just hit the button for it directly), they will just double-click the pack directly from in inventory or they use the /healw command (often set up on the toolbar)
It should be noted that if you are using packs and other containers for organization and storage, that the heal commands and/or radial menu iptions will not heal any kinds of wouds for which you do not have a pack sitting in your top-level inventory. In other words the commands don't look into tyour packs or anything. (That's Issue #12, BTW.)
Can anyone provide some confirmation and or testing on the Out of Range problem listed here? I'd really like some more details on reproducing it before adding this into an issue. I'm also wondering if this is actually a CM issue and not a Doc one.
The groupmates prob... anyone else give some confirmation on this one as well? I'd like to see if we can do some duplication and I'm also wondering if you have to be a Doc/CM to see either of these two problems.
