Thread: Buffing ethics.
You should ask. While A buffs don't last very long, it could still prove to be, in effect, a grief tactic if you hit someone with an A buff that was going to have a friend take care of them instead.
It should be noted that I do have listed on our Big List of Doc Issues (under #6) that Docs would like to be able to do some buff replacement at least on lower level buffs. So if you buff someone with an A buff and I want to use by Ds instead, i can just buff them and your buff would instantly drop while the better one is applied.

I couldnt think of a better title. I am a fairly new doctor and I started making enhance As. Typically I buff every rebel I heal, free of charge. I dont ask, just give them a small boost to health and action when they're healed. I know I could run into some problems since higher level docs can give much better ones, my best is 240. Is this alright or should I always ask?
DEFINATELY ask before you buff.
Many people would consider it a grief if someone buff them with stimp-A without first asking. (Drive-By-Buffing)
Especially if they are currently engaged in PvP at the city and they are expecting to get a master buff as soon as they are fully healed.

ask because once you buff they can't get rid of it. so if they find a better buff they have to wait for yours to wear off
Uhh well, this is only kinda-true. If that person has a Master Doc coming to buff them, they could have a friend duel them and kill them, and have the Doc revive them. Death/Revive or Death/Clone appears to reset buffs. But it's still annoying. Especially if the player doesn't mention that they already have a buff and the Doc has applied 2 or 3 buffs just to discover that on the 3rd or 4th stat there is already a A-level buff - then they've wasted 2 or 3 buffs.
