I just got one last night, just before logging. And I was wandering if they're fixed yet.

Fixed how?
They've been pulling items from crates for quite some time now.
If that's not what you're asking about, then please clarify.
Also, there is a Thread stickied at the top of the forum called the Doc FAQ, there's some great info there. Y'might want to check it out.

I remember threads going around of how a factory would stop in mid production.
And you had to pick it up to get it to work again.

That was the 100 item per day limit. And it is fixed. I've had factories runs last two days before.

The real question should be do you get any XP from crafting this way?

Now THAT was busted recently. (See the Doc Issues List under Factories, #13,for details.)

Last runs I did (about a hay ago) the fatories were buggy. When you put an item into the ingredient hopper, it was not removing it from your pack/invenory... and not appearing in the ingredient hopper. But as soon as you close either of these container screens, the other refreshes and shows the items moved. Real annoying to make sure you get all ingredients in when you dont see them move over in real time.

use the 'change view' button and it will refresh it. still annoying none the less
