Fired up my Food & Chem factory for the first time and busted out 165 BECs or so. Dropped the Factory Crates on the floor of my house, where I am unable to pick them up. I have tried logging, leaving the house, everything I can think of, cannot get Pick Up to light on the radial menu. I have plenty of space in my inventory to hold them, is this just an ancillary joy of home ownership or what? This seems to happen only to crates, I can pick up everything else I have dropped on the floor.

I have sent a /bug but I am not expecting anything spectacular, I have only been playing (and paying) for 3 months, so how important can I be in the whole scheme of things?

Have you, by chance, put down multiple crates in the exact same spot? That can be an issue. One thing you might want to try is to select one of the crates and use /moveforward 20 (I think that's the correct command). That should move one of the crates so you can get it.

Yes, I dropped 4 crates on the same spot.

Newbie mistake, I will try the command line move command, thanks.

/move forward 20

or

/move back 20

will work.

I've encountered a variation of this problem where I've got a line of crates and then things behind them that I want to pick up. It'll do the same thing (not give me the Pick Up option), but all I have to do is walk towards my object and stand pratically on it, and it'll give me the Pick Up option.

Since your problem is multiple objects stacked on top of each other, yes the movement fix is probably the correct one for you, but I thought I'd bring up this other issue in case it also becomes one for you.

The other option is to highlight the object and type /pickup. If you are able to, it'll do the pickup option without having to resort to the menu.

Good luck!
