Thread: Charging for Rez Yes or No?
As I am new to the medical profession, I have a question on "proper ettiquette".
Having trouble finding a tumbler to get the healing exp to finish off doc even with offerring 40k for less than hour and half.
Was in medical center..was healing a guildmate..halfway through healing another "med student" jumped in and started healing his wounds without asking but knowing full well I was healing him. Now, granted the exp was negligable but this person did this several times. I ,personally, considered it very rude.
After this person left, master doctor came in and took over healing wounds...what gives is this the norm? Hard to believe entertainer business has more manners but is looking that way or is this unusual behavior?

Well med centers are usually open season on damage/wound healing to be honest.. If you are on the bottom floor of the med center the rule of thumb seems to be first one to heal heals. However if you are on upper floors the rules change slightly, those people are usually grinding doc with personal tumblers. Basically bottom floor is considered public, and really it doesn't matter how much you comaplin about anything it's still a public area.
That said I generally didn't go to the med center while training in doc..
To make a comment about should people pay for doctor services, yes they should. It doesn't matter what type of service is provided from Stim-A heal to a Buff-D that person has taken the time to do you a favour. To expect this, or to not show your gratitude, is being rude. I am now a master doc, all of the tells I have had so far have only consisted of one side of the conversation.. Whatever it is the teller wants, if you say something along the lines of "Sorry, don't have time" or "Sorry I don't have any" the responses can range from "....[silence]...." to some form of alien l33t speak comment about your mother and your dog being lovers...
Nothing new, I have been and still am a ranger on Scylla. It's the same for every profession, there are people out there who want everything for nothing and give nothing to everyone else.. For example.
(just about every meat/hide sale I ever made involved some form of this)
/shout Selling [insert stupidly high stat avian meat here]! Reserve price of 50cpu
Fool: Ha! 50cpu you nevr sell at dat price.. I give you 10cpu.
Me : Erm, I don't think you understand the reserve price is 50cpu meaning it is already sold to someone providing I don't get a higher bidder before my auction closes.
Fool: Whtevr [insert insult]! good luck sellin at dat price people like u sux.
Me : Yeah, thanks for that but I don't need luck.. I told you I already have a 50cpu reserve, but I do need to add you to my ignore list, thanks for reminding me.
Generally some people are just too stupid to care about.. I say if someone wants a service pay or be friendly and trade services, or simply get added to my ignore list if your a waster who expects everyone else to play the game just for thier benefit. I buff, heal and cure just about everyone I know for free but get tipped alot, I do the same for people I don't know but get tipped less frequently, the only people who have any reason to complain about my services is those people who EXPECT it for free... Because they are the only ones who don't get it.

Definitely charge for Rez unless they are a friend. You are providing a very valuable service, and the way to price any service is by DEMAND, not supply. It doesn't matter whether it costs you 0 cr or 25000 credits (other than if it cost 25k you might not want to do it ever), your price for rezzing should meet the amount the dead person is willing to pay. It costs a master musician 0 credits to buff somebody and they still charge...
When someone contacts me for a rez i alwasy go 90 percent of them tip 10k and a few risky ones that i still didnt say yea ill rez for 10k
i strolled up to a PvP battle at an imp base the leader got owned but i rezed rebuffed and healed everyone up while they took on overts atst
each member gave me 30k was 2 full grps
yopu do the math
just like afk dancers with a please tip macro
I never tip afkers or people that spout off about tipping
if they would only play the game theyd get tons of cash
from me atleast
