I don't tip afk tumblers, but then again i don't heal them either. For me afk is a lazy act. I'm a tumbler myself and never go afk. I DO tip non afk tumblers though... spent about 250k in med-doc tumblers and DANCERS. yeah dancers. u know a master dancer is way much better than any tumbler. they can drop an action pool with a good action buff in 1-2 secs. I also did a lot of private sessions. 50k an hour for a dancer and getting 230k xp is well worth it! and another thing I've realized is that if u want a tip for healing wounded, u should have the master doc tag. I find this very annoying...ppl thinking they do u a favor by getting wounded and come to the med center to get healed. I always heal them though... I dont like afk healers either. they dont pay attention to those who need theyr wounds healed. while i tumble i try to pay attention to wounded, and if i dont have woundpacks on me i stop tumbling and heal myselftill the wounded is all pached up! I usually hang around the med center because of the good community and the good time we non afk-rs have. I even pay for a private dancer session once and a while for those that not are afk.

AFK is a sin. if u tumble afk don't ecpect any tips. And to those in need for a wound healing. Please tip all healers. Meds costs too u know. And u should appreciate those who actully take they're eyes off the tumbler to take care of you. Not too many of those.

At the end: A big /cheer for all us not afk in the med center. We sure have a good time! And a great thank you to Suzan and Squick!

It far too often happens that the medics healing the AFK-Tumbler (lets call him "Johnny", shall we?) aren't healing the people around them that have real wounds. I was sitting around in the med center in Coronet a few days ago, healing people with wounds and watching a ring of medics healing Tumbling Johnny. Johnny was spamming the spatial chat with his macro, shouting "I'm tumbling for YOU! So remember to tip me!" or some such message. Alas, I don't have a problem with medics healing tumblers (done it myself on occasion), but I doremember thinking the med center is not the right place for this.

Then in comes a wookiee that is badly wounded, and I decide to see if anyone of the ring of medics is interested in healing those that actually need healing. He sat down near to the ring of medics, while I sit on the other side of the room and anxiously await for one of the vigilant medics (they weren't all afk since I saw some of them moving) to start gathering xp by healing the Wounded Wookiee. A few minutes pass, and nothing happens. Apparently Tumbling Johnny is better xp (and damn if I had to carry wound packs with me!). None of the ring of medics healing Johnny care about the Wounded Wookiee. So finally I go sit next to him, greet the guy and heal his wounds. I get a healthy tip too.

So I agree, take tumbling out of the first floor of the med center. That's the place for those who really require medical attention.

I only used tumblers when i was a 3/3/4/4 novice docgetting xp was easy enough running around with my group who were all realtively lowe level (no elites amongst us)I was determined not to go to bed unitlI was a Master Doc that night. I picked the one guy out who wasnt asking for tipss buffed his quickness and action and watched his stats drop really fast. even if an occasional person jumped in it was cool. WhenI had the XP to levelI tipped him 25k

I don't tip tumblers but I would be willing to tip anyone that buffs their secondaries. Last few times I've needed heals I hit both Coronet and Theed med centers and nothing but tumblemonkeys and afk medics. Doesn't anyone take the profession seriously, other than a ticket to making money doing buffs or a hologrind? I tip heavily to support those that take it seriously but I just can't find anyone anymore. I even ask buffing docs for a heal and guess what? Never have wound packs on the, go figure.

I tumble in coronet, and don't ask for tips or spam. I got tumble just so I could help with medic exp. Screw those that say it is an exploit, sorry charlie we can't group 20 and go afk to watch friends and still get exp like dancers. We have to sit there for at least one line of each profession just to grind out stims, and then we need all the extra exp too.

Besides I always take care of those coming into the med center. If you have seen it not happen, shame on you for not healing them.

Next to merchant, doctor is the slowest class to level I have played, and really I think tumblers are a boon.

You want to take a month of sundays to get doc, go for it, as for me I have3 friends that want to play late night that can't yet because I can't buff. So step off.

As an aspiring MD/CM, what I do is tumble and heal wounds at the same time. As soon as I see somebody who has wounds, I start healing them. If I run out of woundpacks, I stop tumbling and make more. I tumble while its SLOW in order to help people gain the exp they need. And even though I am ATK when I tumble, I wind up getting more tips from the people who's wounds I am healing. When I'm not healing, and healing a tumbler, better yet, as I can craft, and heal both the tumbler's health and Action, AND I can heal the wounds of those that need it. That said however,I dont heal the wounds of neutrals. For all I know, they are covert Imps, having just cloned after afight with rebels (that they hopefully lost :smileyhappy and I have no desire to help them. If your truly neutral, sorry, find a neutral healer, I'm fighting a war here, and my stims go toward it.

Alot of people here are making a comparison between AFK tumblers and AFK entertainers, but there is one major difference.

AFK entertainers are getting entertainment (and if anyone watches them healing) XP. Tumblers do not gain experience for standing there all night for you. That being said, i can't comment on whether you should tip or not... I have never healed a public tumbler, and used my alt to spam warcry to get the last (and only the last) box of med xp i needed for master doc.

But keep in mind before you flame them for being afk... aside from tips, they gain nothing from tumbling.

i always tip the tumblers that spam with a nice quickness buff i mean i could make about 2k for a single stat buff. 2k+ ans for 3hours or more. i think its pretty generous
