No, actually, you can't have both Artisan and Scout and be MD and MCM. As MD & MCM you wuoild have a toatl of 18 (I believe) points left over if you bought nothing else. That is just enough to exactly spend it all if you got to level 4 in a single weapon and both of the level 1 boxes in the other two weapons, and that is it. Nothing more. If youtook no weapons skills you only have enough points to get a single Basic profession Novice Box and 1 skill in that profession.
I did mean you could have either nov scout, or nov artisan. Not both. I have enough points to be a master pistoleer, master doc, and a novice artisan. I trade nov. artisan for nov. scout every once in a while to gather meat, but that's not too often. Like you said, you will have 18 points left, with 15 to spend on one or the other.
