Thread: - Changed medic XP such that you no longer get XP for healing pets.
That might be true in your case, but when you are a Doctor and a MAster CH, you don't have room for other offensive skills. I currently rely on my pet to handle almost everything for me. Now, I get 0 exp for healing him while takeing up a ton of credits and time for materials. Yes it was easier to get EXP from healing a pet becuase of their HAM bars, but isn't that what we are supposed to do--heal? I guess I missed something when I picked up the doctor skill.
In response to your vet comment, just don't heal pets. I personally wouldn't be opposed to a vet class or something like that. I took doctor to heal my pets and make my downtime as minimal as possible. If you have never played a CH, you have no clue how big of a pain it can be not being able to heal your own pet.

If they take away the xp, do they also take away the mind cost? how many other stat-expensive skills result in no xp?

Healing yourself
Foraging
Burst Run
Pet Tricks
Surveying
Taking a Sample and failing
And I am sure a few others I am forgetting.
At least this helps another class. Many of their changes are largely negative, but this helps Bio Engineers tremendously. Before they were redundant. Now, they have a great use. Because we won't be leaping at the creatures for the huge xp they represent, our services will be fee based (also not a bad thing).
All in all, a change for the better. Player Characters= Doc/Medic, Creatures= Bio Engineer.
