lol, actually with my current stats (unbuffed).. My rodian doctor can sample foraver natuarally.
Actually, he can also chainheal my wookie, and still sample forever (2 forevers for the price of one).
Overall, mindheal is way too exploitable.
Personally i'd be happy with reduction of mind damage on normal attacks.

Ok, in order...
I already gave ways to mitigate the drawbacks to rifles.
Entertainers were not "designed around the mind pool". The designers made professions that would appeal to certain classes of players. The Entertainer was made for the social butterflies who use MMORPG's as a chat room. This was all covered in beta, they aren't supposed to be bards, they're just an attractive class for players who want to meet, and converse with a lot of people.
Chef buffs will still be useful, especially in high-level gameplay. Their buffs do stack with doc buffs. Not saying food isn't broken, (eggs, milk, duration) it is. The selling point of food is easy availability. Not enlarging 1 pool for 5-6 hundred for ten minutes once an hour. If that's the only reason to buy food, then food is REALLY broken.
Your tips for PVP are well taken, But you're not taking it far enough.
Docs can buff for 2000+ health/action points. For hours on end.
food/spices just can't match that, maybe they should, but at this stage of the game they can't. Neither last long enough, or have as much oomph. plus spice-sickness in a fight is a death-sentence
stat-migration will be a big help. But unless you are a mon-cal, you can't realisticaly get mind-pool higher than 1000 points,
So, in any given fight.
Health, and action pools will be upwards of 3000 points
plus food/spice buffs.
Mind will be 1000 plus food/spice, maybe 1800 tops. And then, if you can hold out till their food/spice wears off... back to 1000 (or less)
sure, fully buffed with mind-spice and food, I'm not susceptible to those 1-shot-kills that the sniper-kiddies are always demanding. BUT, mind-shots ARE doing a thousand points of unhealable damage these days. 2 of them will be able to kill any non mon-cal out in the field. I group with a rifle-user. 2 shots in the time it takes to close the gap is EASY with a decent crafted rifle.
Let's solve this problem... It needs addressing.

wouldn't the purpose of drag incapacitated player be to pull an incapped player out of the way before they can get deathblowed?
