Maybe they should impliment the same health insurance idea so that it applies to entertainers too. You got to watch them and for each wound healed it takes a credit out of the insurance pool..

I tend to agree that medics need to be paid. I do run missions (I'm working towards Novice Carbineer now), but I also like healing. I could never work up enough money to buy and maintain a factory. I hand-craft all my meds, which means they also suck, for the most part, compared to factory ones. Still, whatever the means of production, meds take money and time to produce. I hardly ever have over 10k to my name. More often than not, it's under 5-7k. My costs are in resources, maintenance of my house (which is barren... couldn't afford furniture or really bother to by any).
Sidetrack: why can't I call my droid in my own house even if it's private?!
End sidetrack.
I don't expect payment for healing in the field, actually. But when someone comes to the med centre, I like to get paid. Hell, some people don't even say thank you! They just come in, stand there, and run out when they're done healing. Sometimes they also whine about how their 50 health wounds are so urgent and should be healed right then and there, even though there're people waiting to be healed who are hurt worse and who got there earlier.
Another pet peeve of mine is people who heal themselves. Now, it's cool when the med centre is swamped. But if, for example, I'm the only medic there (or there're a few medics, for that matter) and there're no patients... well, it'd be nice for people to at least let us get our XP!
Rant over for now.
