I guess I was lucky in that I used shadowfire as my 'learning server' for doctor (god I sucked when I was on shadowfire .... 600 power base enh packs lol) and then jumped on to farstar the first week it started with a partner so I was lucky in having 20 lots to play with. This being the case, there were no master docs selling enh packs hell, there were very few resource dealers even so I started running missions buying personal harvs, collecting what I could and what was available and selling on the bazzar until I had enough to upgrade my harvs. Once I managed to have all Medium harvs I opened a resource shop about 1000m from Bestine. This proved to be very profitable I eventually was able to upgrade to all Heavy harvs and a nice collection of resources for myself I closed the resource shop and converted over to selling state packs, res packs, wound packs essentially everything but enhance packs and stims ( a waste of time in my opinion and not profitable enough for the trouble .... most people sell them on our server for no more than 1500/per and that's the stuff with herb meat as well....) It took me a while but I'm finally able to sell enhance packs and as has been said in this thread already, this can be very profitable and finally, I'veadded components to my shop as well (click on the link in my sig if you wanna know what I currently have in stock but for the most part its everything but stims )

Side note, the key in my getting +20 experimentation points was I bought them very early when prices were still reasonable and there weren't as many docs competing for them .... I wish I'd kept tract of what I traded these for but the only one I remember is my +6 which I got for 4 crates of chef food and gurk king hide and my +5 apron which I got for free since I brought her the hide (tho I tipped her 30k cuz I had no idea what I should give her)

Unstable has hit it totally on the head.

Only a fewthings I can add to that.

Do merchant before doc to get the vendors, if possible.

Have an alt to do merchant & for the extra lots & to survey for you, if possible.

Have a mate or two with merchant & vendors - get them to sell your stuff for you, all over the server if possible, even if they take a cut of the profits. Having lots of outlets is nice.

Don't use/waste avian or herb meat in anything other than Buff Packs.

Harvest your own non-meat resources. Watch SWGcraft.com like a hawk, share info with friends about spawns, so you can generally expect to hear about the latest good stuff to spawn.

if you asking whats the best way to make money, and fast in swg, well doc isnt nessisarily the best way, but it is still a good source of income. to maximise your profit, go and buy a BER 14 or 13 harvys for all the resources needed and place them in a good spot. get your scouting skills going again, and get hunting 4. with hunting 4 i can get 1.5k avian meat in a hour - enougn to make pleanty off packs. also remember to get herbivore meat.after you got the resources, get 3 food factories, and run the advanced components for the packs. then the next day, create schems for each buff- remember to experiment (i suggest buying doc experiment tapes). 3 schems in the factories for a day, then the other 3. all up, youll spend about a million buying harvys (depending on the server). but considering that you can make 1 million in 2 hours work, it wont be a problem..... not start buffing. it is essential that your wearing +25 doc Be clothing, and using +25 bivoli (bought from a chef). like i said, doc isnt the best way to make big time money, you can make heaps more selling resources, and some other secrets ill keep to my self

Here is the basic plan for making money as a doc.

1. Buy buff packs and be a buff monkey for a while to make cash for harvestors.

2. While buffing for cash also collect the best resouces you can for making stims and buff packs.

3. As you get good resouces (stims will come first) then invest in factories and start making your own stuff for yourself

4. As you get even more resouces start selling your stuff to others. The key is to find what sells fast (PvP stims for example)

5. When that great spawn of avain comes around hunt the crap out of it and buy as much as you can. Even at 150 cpu.

6. Start making buff packs to sell. At this point you will be among the top few docs on your server.

When you reach step 6 you will start making the big bucks everyone thinks docs make. The issue is that getting to step 6 and stayingtheretakes a lot of time and a lot of energy. Thats a good thing IMO it rewards a lot of hard work.

Very well said and explained.

In my case, I started gathering resources since August, turned Doctor in November (once I knew I had the resources to start competing AND BEING competitive at the same time) then bought 6 factories, then 10 more, now I ran a meds industry hehehe.

Vendor is usually stocked not only with buffs/stims (as the ones in my sig) but with wound heal packs, poison/disease cure packs, state cure packs (dizzy, intimidate are the ones that sell the most). Like someone well said it, it's all about having a good plan. Mine was a long term one (gathering resources for 3 months before turning doctor) then jump into the market aggresively.

My advice: once you reach the point in which you can ran your own factories, if you don't run more than 1 account, do a lot trade with another galaxy so you don't waste your lots in factories. Use them instead on harvesters that will get you the resources to make your stuff.

I have a pretty sufficiticated operation before I log Ill share:

I have No harvs up and dont want to To much time.

I have 9 Factories and I patroll the boards looking for a great deal or look for doc's that are retiring and are selling there resources I have40milion credits, andI can maintain that even with a spending splurge every now and thenof 10million credits so I have enought ,for me to buy what ever I want when ever I want I dont sell on ebay or anyting like that, and when and if I decide to quit I will give it all away to charity to the newbies in little spurts.

I started with harvs but when you get to like 10 to 20 million you dont really need them, just stock up I have over 1million units of urber Inorganics of each for doc and all are 900 OQ UT PE and DR for most. And I buy when I get to 500k or lower on a specific resource but I might retire soon my self and walk a way with 100million credits and join a player city and live in a hall with over 10 million in decorations and just title my House Roshido the Hutt's House and spend vacations at jabbas palace. And just log on to help the city in its endevours.

MEDTEK NET WORTH Over 150 Million Cash 47.5 Million Credits

Just as Oloosipointed out your stuff get worth a lot of credits, I my self have around 30mil resourse to bere and getting higher every day 15mil resourse for medical stuff and the rest for Armor you 2 sort professions. Last weekend I did a Resourse count down and did put all current going cpu prices behind it. and what you get for numers get whay out of the max credits numbers (around 350mil most going in to meat and hides and RIS components and other loot stuf)

I sell about 5-10mil on buff packs a week and 3-6mil on armors, but most of the money that comes in goes just as fast out of the pocket mostly on Meat Meat and Hides. Some resourse I got so mutch of I dont believe can use all its sick maiby but well its business to stay on the top you must hold the best resourses of all.

Im currently have only one sales point did got 4 but takes time got 10 medical and 12 armor factorys feeding it , and think I got the best stocked buff pack vendor in the Eclips server (always over 150 packs of every sort on stock and 350 of every stat on backup) got a very larg costumers share I think but Im still beaten every time by others who make better buffs like 952 and myne are 920 but many people come from thos vendors to me because the cant make the large numbers of demand, maiby others getting more money out of it, but my stock gots a sale value of over the 600mil , please dont flame it but if your work your as*s of for 10 months getting to the top and staying there mine on mass with lot of people pay them well for itwork every day 3 hours min on it. you get a lot of stuff.

But in the end you think what the hel do I do it for money ??? game money. mostly the kick of wealth it has taken me to a high lvl. Its my first MMORG but my last crafting MMORG me cured after I sold a lot of my stuff

I'm probably the one Starpilots talks about with the 952 packs.

If you make good buffpacks, you will feel like you are fighting the tide when your customers keep coming. I made a full run (333 packs) that started selling less than 48 hours ago, and I've already sold 2/3rds of it, I guess. I have to say though, that the most rewarding part of the job (and believe me, when you have 21 factories grinding out packs as fast as your RSI can handle, it is indeed a job) has to be when you get praise from the customers for what you do.

I am quite frankly no longer in it for the money. It's just reallygreat to make something that people enjoy.

With that said, I think my weekly sale of buffpacks is in the 20-30m area nowadays. Sold for 5m+just while sleeping last night and omw to put up another 5m worth of orders I took on my way home from hunting.
