Well on Ahazi it is a tough market.

I can barely get 8k.

I got into two fights on coronet because I just wanted to know why 2 doctors were charing 5-6k, and they lashed back saying they were not trying to rip people off.

I'm tellinya some of you need to make doctors on ahazi and change the world!

We have a lot of people selling buffs for 6k on Ahazi. And, I am guilty as charged. However, when I was doing that, my buffs were worth 6k. With the material I use now, they're worth the 8-10k+ range. I only sell them cheaper inquantity or to regular customers.

I like the idea above of telling people to pay you what they think they are worth. I may experiment with that for a night and see how it goes. I know there have been times where people ask if I am buffing, and I usually respond with my price. Sometimes it gets to be a mess with the lag and lines, and I've forgotten to tell people...So they plunk down in line and throw me 10-20k. I can deal with that.

I play in Ahazi and don't sit down spamming buff offers. When I do buff I usually ask to be tipped for what they think it's worth. I don't think I've gotten a tip for less than 6k and generally it's around 10k and on some occasion 20k-50k.

I usually charge 10k, using +25 clothing and 900+ packs.I get lots of 3k+ buffs so people are willing to pay the price. Few things to keep in mind:

*Buff prices haven'treally gone up since vehicles came out, and we all know people can make much more money post-vehicles.

*Buffs aren't just an item, but a SERVICE. People shove all these formulas down my face, "well you only need xxx amount of this to make your item, you make too much of a profit," and in reality, they do not consider our time to be a factor when pricing.

I used to charge 6k, but I'm about to start charging 10k because I'm going to get Master (just need the AP now). If you're short of master, you feel bad charging more-- a master can give out a bad buff and say "Hey, I can't control it." A novice doc has a harder time saying that, so charging more than 6k seemed out of line for me.

I charge 5k or give them free if I'm in a good mood. I only use my lower quality buffs though, my good ones I save for me and my friends.

I'm on Ahazi as well and have grown used to the 6k buffs. I use that as a base price model. There is one thing that changes my pricing tho...

LOCATION.

If I'm in Coronet, Bestine, or near a heavy population center on a starter planet, 5-6k is fine. Dependant on buff quality.

If I'm at a dungeon, add 2-4k to that depending on the buffs I have to use (good vs. not-so-good).

If I'm on an advanced or elite planet, add another 2-4k depending on the ticket prices to get there.

Normally, I'll end up charging from 6-10k, and I tip back 1k if the buff is under 1500 as well. I also don't advertise my Master tag, I try to keep my role as more of a WW2 combat medic (see 'Band of Brothers' for a frame of reference) rezzing and dragging people all over the place. I also make plenty of cash in a hurry by running missions on Dantooine or Endor as a self-buffed TKM. Not to mention that my harvesters always seem to pop some nice 8+CPU resources in 60%+ veins

I'm not stoked on having the lines form around me for buffs tho... You get some onery people. But it is a good way to scrape up some $$$ when you're flat broke!

As with any business, its based on supply and demand. If you are the only Doctor at the Tusken camp, then maybe you could get 15k a set.

If you're in front of Coronet's starport whoring yourself out with 20 other Doctors then maybe you will only get 6k.

I'm almost Master Doctor, but I was a Master Ranger for months, and there is NO WAY IN HELL I was gonna make the kind of money that I will be making as a Master Doctor, so even at 5k a set you will be way ahead of some professions.

But the poster makes the best point by highlighting the fact that these people are using the full set of Master Buff's to make a killing soling missions. So who the hell knows.

i just recently came to be a 0/3/4/0 doc and with my med clothing and bivoli i can buff consistently for 1800+ for over 3+ hours. i was wondering what would be a fair price to charge for these. i was planning on 8-9k a set to cover my overhead and make some profit. this also seems to be the going rate for buffs of this quality on my server. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you can spare the 2 skill points i would suggest getting 0440 in doc. The extra wound treatment will add roughly 200 to your buffs and put you over 2k+ on your buffs. Then you could charge alittle more.

(Im guessing your packs are 820ish power?)

I'd say 8-9k is a fair price for those buffs.

For that strength and duration, I'd say that'sa good price... at least, on Shadowfire it is.
