I've attained master doctor for about a month now. The problem is that I'm trying to collect the resources to make buffs, but until I get them all, I'm not buffing people. I heal people whenever I can, but I rarely get tipped, so cash is a major problem. I have several harvesters running, but the maintenance on them is draining my credits. I've been doing missions for 1500 to 2000 credits lately, but again the travel to and from my harvesters is using up all my money. So what do you guys do to put food on the table?

I've seen the price of buff packs. Wouldn't I actually be losing money instead? Sorry...if it's a stupid question. I'm still pretty new to the game.

Well it's a big investment at first, but you can sell buffs for 10k and make up to 100% of your money back... It depends on how much they cost on your server though.

Actually one of the easiest ways to make some good starting money. Buff yourself and do Jabba missions (if you have some combat skills)and sell the loot you get. Some of the painting and schematics can go for 500K or more. The only problem is that you can only do this once.

One other thing you can do is dedicate all but 1of your lots to harvesters, mineral or fusion will work for this. Fusion would be best so you're not cutting into profits except to run the harvester. So get 9 fusions and find a concentration of radioactive power of

70%+ then drop all your 14BER fusions on that for as long as you think it will be up usually 4 days to 7 days. You can then go to one of the major cities and usually drop them on the bazaar for 1.5credits per unit. I have made 500k with doing this in just 1 week...that was with 4 harvesters 3 of which are minerals. having all fusions (Ill have 10) you can come away with over a mil a week. if your spawn stays for a week...i havn't made under 300k in 3 days...so you can safely say you can make 300k to 1mil in a week. Yeah its not as fast as a mil a day like you will be able to make as a doc with selling buffs but it is still worth it and you don't have to do much of anything just check them every 2 days and youll be fine.

I came away with 200k power in 3.5 days and that was with just 4 harvesters 50k per harvester. It is profitable in time, and if you get some of the rare resources and horde it then you can sell that stuff for good cash in a few weeks/months. I have some really nice quality WS/AS i think aluminum that ill either use on ships when the time comes or ill sell in a couple weeks. At any rate buy fusions start with 4 that should work, get them at 13 or 14 ber and just run em for a week or so and sell the stuff for 1.5cpu that will get you some cash not fast but power sells fast I usually get mine sold after about a day on the bazaar.

Good luck.

Just want to point out to Zarx his wording is confusing.

"You can generally find buff packsfor a good bit less than 10K a set. I sell mine as a crate of 5 with 29 uses/895 power for 800K. That's a 145 buffs ~ 5.5K a set. If you charge 10K for a buff (which I think is reasonable) then you're looking at 1.45 million and 650K profit. In reality, you're probably going to use some buffs on yourself and friends and guildies etc. But you should easily be able to make 500K profit"

Crate of 5 @ 29 uses @ 800k for the crate = 5.5k per buff pack charge

But a set of 6 stats = 800k x 6 = 4.8 million

Buffing for 10kper set of 6 stats = 1.45 million

Buffing for 20k per set of 6 stats = 2.9 million

Um... you can't even buy the buff pack set in the first place. Unless you mean to say you're selling a set of all 6 stats buffpacks in 5 unit crates at 800k, in which case you are charging 133,333cr per crate of 5, or 919cr/charge.

Option 2 - They're in a backpack....

When I said 5.5K per set, I really meat 919cr/charge x 6 stats = 5514credits.

I started selling medical resources as this is what I knew from being a doc on another server, I started by keeping all excellent resources for myself and things that were okay were sold. Started with personal harvs, worked up to mediums and finally heavies ... finally when the time came to quit the resource business I was more than prepared enough to open my medic shop

Make Stim B's. First do the buffing thing while you are saving up resources for B's. You do not need a lot of rare resources. Other than lokian wheat and petro 4. When a good spawn comes out drop all the harvestor you can on it. Save some for yourself and put a few things of 100k aside for auction. Petro 4 comes around once and a while. So I pulled up 600k of it. I will use about 300k of it to make stims and sell the rest on the auction in a few weeks when the demand goes back up for it. I know that sounds rotten but its a good way to make money and it helps out other docs who didnt save enough. So basically I make stim b's and sell med resources for a living. Dont do to bad have never dropped below half a mil.

Stim Bs in Coronet bazaar sell like hotcakes, that being said if you are still in the process of getting resources I wouldn't use any ACRDMs in them.

You could buy buffs from other crafters and add TKM to your template. Go and have some fun making quick cashin dantoone or datho.Spend some of yourfreed uptime andexplore the game (caves, etc)while youharvest all the resources.I'm a master doc, but starting out and crafting my ownis very very hard.

The best things aboutbeing a master doc, in my opinion, is being able to log out next heavy camped places likeFort Tusken or Geno caves and start out with a self buff and just jump in to the action as soon as you log in, maybe youll get some loot. All I'm saying is, while waiting for the right spawn and harvesters to do their job its very easy to burn yourself our playing catchup with the other Master Docs. Go have some fun courtesy of the other docs who already put their time in harvesting gathering ther uber stash. Eventually, you'll have everything you need, maybe even looted someexperimentationskill tapes while venturing instead of buying them for millions on trade forums.

I make a lot of money selling crates of high end stimpack b's. crate of 50 for 50k. i make all my own buffs right now, but they suck like something awful. i sold em for a while untill i ran out of decent avain meat. you can always sell people buffs in the 1600-1800 range for like 5k 6k a piece and with good materials you dont even need advanced compoents for that. If people are just hunting around they dont need or want to pay for 2500 buffs i've found. use that to pass the time untill you can make your own uber buff packs, then charge like 10k a set. starports seem to be the hot spots to set up shop.

I make Stimpack B's for my guild. Within an hour and they are gone. I just load some credits into a factory and enjoy life, and in 7-8 hours my factory is done, and I sell my Stimpacks on Guildchat. I made back my initial investment and still have some resources left to make some better ones, which I will again sell.

As an MD you can probably make nice stim B's without advanced components, or perhaps with just ABEC's or ALS's. If you can do this, sell them in that Bazaar in Mos Eisley. That is where all newbies start now, so they won't be looking for 40/400s at the best price. Newbies need stims too! If you mine your own resources you're looking at pure profit, even if it is only 500-750 cr each.
