Easy their big time, it was just an idea. I have seen people talk about the price of wound packs and figured this was a small amount of money that could go towards the packs.

Thing about wound packs is that with any C pack you can fix pretty much any amount of wounds up. For wound kits you can even use pretty normal quality resources so they don't cost much to make

I never charge for heals, wound treatment, curing poison/disease or extinguishing that nasty burn. I am a Doctor, and that is my job.

For Buffs, however, I do charge non-guild members, if I am buffing the public. I rarely do that anymore, as it seems to be more hassle than it is worth.

You say you never charge as it is your job?

Do you think in real life it is that way?

Of course it is not, all doctors are paid in some manner, whether it be through insurance you pay, tax you pay or payment directly to the doctor. Why should it be different in the game.

Also do you think medicines are free in the real world? Drug companies are amongst the richest in the world.

If it is considered to be my job (jobs you get paid for by the way) and I have to heal for free, then all combat profs should do my missions for me, all tailors should clothe me, all weaponsmiths should give me a weapon etc. Doesn't work that way!

That said, I have already stated I do heal for free, but not to people who expect it, or think it is their given right.

Hello,

Healing for free, I find, is not really "free". I've gotten tips from as little as 250 credits (a new person) to 5k. I also have people give me meat from their kills, brandy (so I can keep on healing), max APs, guaranteed spot in hunting teams, and patients that will pay 6k for a +1400, 2.5h buff when for an additional 1k-2k they can get a +2200 one. I'd probably never trade all of this for 10 cr per point.

Do you plan to charge on a regular basis (anytime, anywhere) or only in a pinch when there are no doctors/medics around? Any pricing schemes might be a bit difficult since there's no way it can be enforced across the board. You'll always get another guy charging less and people like me running around doing "vigilante" heals here and there.

Good luck,

-D

I don't mind healing, but it is getting to the point where people expect doctors to drop what they are doing to heal them. I have gotten tells from people asking/telling me to to come to another planet to heal their wounds. The only people I charge are the ones who piss me off, getting a tell that says only "heal my wounds" isn't going to be well received by me on the other hand somone who knows how to use the words please and thank you is always welcome back and will be healed for free.

I never charge for heals, no matter the situation. If someone is diseased/poisoned/on fire I'll automatically go heal them and just walk away, generally getting a thank you (nothing more of course since these cost me nothing ). As for wound heals I'll do it for those that have horrible wounds that I just happen to notice, or if someone politely asks me to heal their wounds. But if someone comes up to me "Hi, I need you to heal me" or "hey doc, heal me", etc etc....they get a quick and fast response in the area of "learn some manners, kiss my ass, and then I'll consider it."

I require one thing for my services, to be treated with civil courtesy. This is probably the easiest thing in the game to use as currency, and if they refuse to do even that then they don't need my services as badly as they think.

I don't charge, but I don't heal many people either. And I never wear a doctor or medic tag.

Part of the reasonI became a Medic / Doctor issimply because I like helping people. I will cure wounds, disease and poison at no charge, as long as I'm not asked rudely. (AndItypically do wait until asked, as I don't want to take XP away from another Medic / Doc working his way up the profession.)I make my packs with basic subcomponents and resources, so while I may take me an extra couple of heals, the cost is fairly negligible.

I do wonder on occassion if my approachcontributes to some people's perspectivethat this type of service is *expected* ofDoctors, but I would say that more often than not, I recieve some kind of tip, so I don't think it's prevalent yet.
