Thread: New Ideas For Doctor Profession!!!
-How about some Doctor specific weapons to attack with like surgical tools, or the doctor's toolbag? I don't care how much damage they'll do but something just to look really cool to equip and run around in. Things like scalpels, forceps, clamps, et cetera.
I would disagree here based on the very simple statement "you have to draw the line somewhere." By brooching this idea, you lend credence to the following:
Artisians attacking with a paintbrush
Merchants carrying around a cash register and throwing it at people
Architects attacking with a pencil
Politicians carrying around and hitting each other with election signs
The simple reason these things aren't done, (which IMHO would include your suggestions), is for the same reason, in the Monty Python skit, the London office of the "society of putting things one on top of the other" brought down the entire organization..."because we all thought it was rather silly!"
-Or a special Deathblow move for Doctors where we dissect the corpse or incaped player?
-Or some Doctor specific attacks where we spray some sedative on creatures to slow them down a bit or laughing gas that reduces accuracy?
This confuses me. You say this, but then you later say this:
lol i'm not looking for weapons that will turn doctor into a combat proffession...i just want something asthetic to hold and carry around for my mdoc/mcm template or any other doc template that's non combat based.
How does a deathblow or a sedative not cross the line into combat profession?
In the end however I will concede a certain flair for nonsense that would lend fun to the game, (I'm QUITE the child at heart), however I suspect that the devs actually writing these ideas into the game would be a bit lame in the end...
ok maybe you missed my biggest point...i just want something to carry around and use other than being unarmed without novice brawler...the things that i'm asking for should beonly as powerful as being unarmed without novice brawler or having a cdef without novice marksman...ASTHETIC!!!!

I would just be happy if I couldharvest wooly hide from bothans and wookies, and harvest fish from Mon Cals
THAT would be interesting. However in the end I think NPC wookies would be a blast too if they were combatants...

Because you're crossing the line into the ridiculous...
wha's wrong with artisans carrying paintbrushes, marchants $$ bag, architects pencil, and election signs?
no single office supply would be stronger in combat than the other?

Because it would brew arguements like "How can a paintbrush do as much damage as a scalpel?"

You have to remeber the game is rated T for teen. I don't think they can put doctors running around slashing peoples troats open, and dissecting corpse.
Even if they would put it in I have to disagree with you, your ideas are ridiculous.
