In my day we didn't have tumblers. We sat in the medical center with our "First Responder" tag on hoping to the sweet dear lord that a "novice doctor" didn't come in and heal the few patients we had. Quickness buffs for tumblers, all around.

I think the whole profession-grind thing has a detrimental effect on the game and can't wait for the Jedi revamp.

OMG!!!!

Stop paying tumblers and going about the medical profession the cheesy way. Heal wounds and earn your doctor tag!!! Grinding to doc in 3 - 4 days - what a joke.

You guys really depend on tumblers that much? Thats really sad (I'm assuming most of you are hologrinders if you are). I mean sure I'll have a friend do it while we're waiting for a shuttle but most of my experience will come from a Rancor like beast tearing the flesh from his body. I wlll never, ever, EVER pay someone to tumble. When I do get buffs they will get the best quickness buff I can muster.

a joke? a joke because every other proffession in the game can be done within the same time?

the only joke here is you people trying to dictate how people should play. what makes your money worth more then there?

Agreed.

Obviously no one here has mastered Image Designer recently. It can be mastered in less than an hour. THAT is an issue. 3 or 4 days? That's average.

If you don't like tumblers, don't use them. There ARE plenty of other ways to get xp. But if other people choose to use them, don't complain about it. It's their in-game credits and their 14.99 a month. It's not hurting ANYONE and it's getting more people to join a profession that is one of the most useful in the game.

Heh, I'm hoping that the jedi revamp will allow resource prices (at least on non-creature resources) to go DOWN.

Right now, people will buy absolutely cruddy resources to grind a profession they have no intention of keeping, so the market is catering to grinders. If those same harvesters were put on good resources, I'm hoping that there'd be enough of a market that

stuff would go back to 3-5 cpu for decent resources, and 10-20 for good ones. Course, I don't really understand economics all

that well, so it's probably still going to be too expensive to buy resources, but I can hope!

I'm not too worried about stim and buff sales going away. People are still going to want to play the game, and there are some things you just cannot do without buffs (well, solo anyway ).

I tried paying tumblers and it was a stupid waste of time. It was much more effective for me to buddy up with another novice doctor or medic and we would simultaneously tumble and heal. Alternatively, a buddy would tumble for me and just go AFK for the night and I would set a healing macro so I could sleep as well. It worked great. I have ABSOLUTELY no problem using macros to grind this XP as I saw it as a service to my guild to get to maximum healing efficiency as quickly as possible.

I too tried to avoid the tumbling xp, but its like a tonic early on before you can buff. I only did it for short amounts of time I can remember 3 occasions. What I did find on the couple times I did it was that its a great way to get AP xp. Novice medics skill up fast there and need training. I had gained all of my AP for Master Doc and the majority for pistoleer by the time I gaind Master Doc.

So there are good reasons to be in a medical center while skilling up.

Quite honestly the majority of my early doc xp came from joining noob groups on Tatooine and buffing them with enhance b's etc. Its pretty cool to see thier reaction when the get their first set of 500+ buffs. Even those meagre buffs last light years longer than even BE enhanced foods. It was a lot of fun, I heartily recommend tagging along noobs and doing squill missions. Squills will beat the stuffings out of the noobs and your god-like novice doc healing will turn the battle.
