You can imply a nerf w/out saying it.

And no I don't like being a buff bot. I'm not a doctor that tends to buff the public. I haven't worn my master doctor title since I got into an argument with some kid who decided that I had to buff him, right then, right now, and for free. But theres alot of doctors who depend on buffing lines for their income, and some who for some reason that totally escapes me, enjoy doing it.

Getting a buff isn't that hard. Learn where people often buff. Learn who buffs when and where. Learn where your servers buff bots are (I'm sure theres atleast one thats someplace). Bother guildy docs for buffs.

So no your idea didnt get taken that well. It'd be another kick in the face to a profession whose being blamed by a vast majority of players for bulk of the problems with the game. Why dont you stop over to the armorsmith forums and start a thread about self repairing armor or something?

You don't need to be buffed to run missions. Just do the low end missions. Or group up with the other 15 people waiting for a buff.

Not wanting to flame you (cos I don't know you and this post isn't directed at you)but like other Docs I'm now annoyed at the percieved 'it's all your fault/you make too much money' attitude we appear to get.

One reason people can't find a buffing Doctor is the attitude of the general population. If you're one of the nice guys the Doctors (that are still all over the place) will still buff you even after they become dissolusioned with the whole starport buffing experience and stop.

Going back to the annoyed bit, Doctors have been complaining about the attitude of other players towards us in game for a long time now. The result is people finding it harder to get a buff and from what I see in game more people taking up the profession. Some of the newer Doctors are buffing the public (for now), some were the very people that caused the public shortage and only buff themselves/friends because they know what people can be like.

What comes around goes around. I get a sort of pleasure now when I see someone who acted like a spoilt child towards Doctors on my server running around yelling for buffs then see a '/sigh might as well logout bah'. Even after the CU buffs will still be valuable so I say make friends with Doctors you do find and cherish them.

Now there's a novelty for some...

There is nothing wrong with buffs period.

If you think that the game is too easy, that is not a buff or armor issue, it is a content issue.

The only thing that really needs to change in the combat system is the leveling of skills and capabilities for the elite combat professions. Currently, Swordsman and Rilfman have Medium / Heavy AP weapons with mind attacks. These are the only two professions that have this and that is wrong.

Perma buff is just as unsmart as perma armor. Economies function on a large extent based upon consumable goods and changing a consumable like buffs to a durable would screw the economy.

While docs might make some good dough in this game, they also spend allot of it.

Besides, there are not that many docs that can make 900+ buffs and they only last as long as the resources are on hand. And that is not forever.
