Thread: Stim and Med PAck Prices
The one good thing about being in the Med Business is that our products are one of the few of the crafting profession that gets used up. The customers HAVE to come back for more whereas an Architect, once they build you that Medium house, you no longer need another house. So for us, the demand will ALWAYS be there for meds as they will never reach a saturation point. So charge as much as you can because when there are more and more people reaching Master Doc every single day, the market will get flooded more with Stim B makers, but at the same time, there are more players needing them every day.
So charge what you think you can get away with. Check the bazaars and see what similar products are going for. That is, if you can find a Stim B on a bazaar long enough before someone takes it.

Why do people look at this cost should be so and so pr resource used?
Thing are worth what people are willing to pay.
If you sell out within hours of putting more than 20 items up for sale, or if the first person too see buys everything, then you could easily mark the price up. Not saying that you should, noone is twisting any arms here, sell the product at the price you want to, people are not forced to buy.
I got fed up with everything always selling out fast than I could put it up for sale, and what did the finally did it in for me was whatching my stims beeing bought from the bazaar and then immediatly put back up for twice its price. So now I put them on the bazaar for 3k each, and I still sell out fairly quick, I simply cant be bothered with calculations on how much I spend on the resources and factories and soon, simply not fun to me, but to each his own.

This is how I come up with my prices. I do not go by per resource cost. That is irrellevent. I could pay 10 credits per unti and still make a profit. So don't go by the per resource method.
seriously ... this 950 for a single stim is nuts... flat out all items should be sold at around 3-4 cpu you will still make out like a bandit easily paying for harvester/house and anything else you may need this price gouging needs to stop....
Im not sure how you are making your stims, but the components cost credits. Resource vendors typically start selling around 3 credits per unit. Most pricing for any other product sees at least a 100% markup on material costs. I don't even sell stims (use them all myself) but the pricing posted here so far is pretty fare when compaired to the average markups charged by any other profession.
I've been selling my 34x323 stims for 800 each. I can't get my hands on any petro 4, and until the other advanced resources shift to soemthing better, that's what I'm stuck with.
I sell for 750 for orders over 10.
I'm backordered out the wazoo. I will probably raise my prices to the 1k per stim mark in the next week or so due to the high demand. If we could only get the **edit** factories fixed so I can make crates reliably.
This is my pricing guide...
Stim B's = 400 credits
Stim C's = 480 credits
Stim D's = 600 credits
Med B's = 450 credits
then I add 60 credits for each advanced component used so a crappy B is 400 while a super one is 580
it's all based on 5 cpu for regular materials and 10 cpu for advanced materials + a little for myself... but most of the profit comes from the fact that it usually doesn't cost me that much for the materials... Materials usually work out to 3-4 cpu for normal and 4-7 for advanced

Hmm, please go tell the weaponsmiths and armorcrafters this. There are plenty of folks here to heal what's left of you when you get back.
You can charge whatever you want. I only got about 10k left for Doc's Crafting 4 and then you can bet i'll be charging 1k for 350/35 Stim-B's. With the price of Harvs and the current sad state of Factories, 1k isn't gouging at all. And as far as i'm concerned, price in SWG should be dictated simple like this:
Supply vs. Demand
Not to mention the fact, 50% of the price goes towards my "danger fee" for harvesting on Lok and Dantooine ![]()
As best stated by the previous poster, supply vs. demand. If you are selling some god-awesome Stim-Bs at 800 a pop and they are selling before you get the "20 credits to put it up" message, it's time to raise your price and rake in some bank. They have to buy it, where else are they going to get it from? And why would they spend the same price on more charges of lower heal stims... these are more than often used to save your life and that's when you need a good 320+ B or a 500+ C... I spend alot of time collecting these resources to make these awesome meds, better **edit** well believe I'm gonna charge for'em. 50k cred crates of Stim Cs, here I come.
All this post into one statement:
If you can get it, charge it.
I'll tell you what my prices are --whatever the market allows. If I'm sold out from the time I log off at night and log back on the next day then that price is good, but can go up a little. I have stim B's that are 32/373 that I sell for 1099 at the moment. This price will probably go up to 1200 once I sell everything since they sell out so quickly that tells me that there's a market for them and I can then charge more for them. When I dont' sell out overnight then I willl lower prices.
It's all about supply and demand.

I don't agree with that. I set a price that I am happy with what I am making. If they sell too fast it means I need to make more, not sell them higher. But I guess that's why I'm running 8 factories... ![]()

Remeber part of it is location location location. Stim pack prices will go significantly higher on the harder planets like Lok, Dantooine, Dathomir.
Right now, I have been selling 38 charge base heal of 358 for 1300-1500 each. It was easier to sell individually rather than try to sell off the two crates.
Just remember the cost to visit every planet and survey for every shift.
