I was just about to suggest that very tip weshutch... I picked up that tip on this forum back when i started doc a few months ago and it has been a life saver! Also doesnt hurt to change the text color of syetem messages so they stand out if by chance you happen to be looking at spatial for whatever reason.
I started out buffing the public to make back the money spent on grinding. I had a couple people try and rip me off but never got taken in the end. I always asked for the money in any form upfront. What suprised me was the number of people who tried to claim I had tried to scam them. I had one guy try to get me to do some LD buff trick for him, i told him i didnt understand what he wamted me to do, when he came back from LD he started cussing at me and running around the city shouting i took his money and didnt buff him...I didnt get any money and I couldnt buff him because I didnt understand the "trick" at the time...people in general suck, I now buff only in my home city for guildies and visitors, and make my money sellin buff paks to the public. I enjoyed the social interaction of public buffing, but not the headaches, some people love it, just wasnt for me.

Everyone always posts the negative stories or complaints. Well, I got the exact opposite and as a matter of factthey bothhappened last night.
I was buffing in Dathomir and I had one more customer left. I received a tell from someone asking what buffs were and how they could help him. I sent him a tell back and told him. He then thanked me and said he would be back after his mission so he can get one. His wounds were need in tending so I offered to take care of them. I also offered to buff him for free. He said he didn't want to take advantage of it and he would be back after his mission. I finally said, if it makes you feel better pay me when you return from your mission. He said ok. This morning I logged in and read my mail. I received payment for the buff I gave him. He was there again this morning. He refused a buff and said that he was going to get some money to pay for armor. I thanked him for paying me and he was grateful.
Another person was looking for brandy. I had enough extra's on me to spare one, but he wanted to pay for it. I told him to check the bazaar. He then sent me a tell saying that they were 6k and he didn't have enough. I told him that I would trade it to him and when he was finished with his mission to come find me. Well .. Not too many people were needing buffs and I was getting ready to close shop when I received a tell from him. He said that his missions were done and he was on his way back to pay me. Which he did.
Now .. very rarely does this happen and I'd hate to attribute their behavior to the full moon, but it's times like these that makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.
Go figure.

They tip upfront or no buffs - simple as that

Just curious if that happens often. Doesn't make me too mad, because I put on friends list with "STIFFED ME" in the commets. That way I'll know hime next time I see him.
Do you all get alot of that?

That's what I do as well. I never even thought of trusting customers to tip after the buffs were done. In my mind, that is just asking to be ripped off. And I am usually a very trusting guy, too.
