Thread: So What Is The Official Med Use Now For Enhance D's?

I have 2x 200k crates of Enhance D's that I can't use now because of this... I'm not very happy about this lil stealth nerf one bit.

What's really misleading is the crate still says the old med use, but when you pull a buff pack out of the crate the pack seems to get 20 added to the med use required.

And that is what leads me to think it might be a bug. No word yet, though, but I suspect we won;t have a chance to get word for a few hours anyways, at the earlierst.

I crafted some packs last night, the starting med use was 90+, so I am thinking that it is not "a bug" associated with crates but 1) a deliberate increase in med use on D's or 2) a bug associated with D's in general.

BTW I had some "pre patch" enhance packs on my vendor and their med use stayed at 78 - well they sold pretty quick.

After the patch I created several Enhance Action C & D's.

The D using my best resources came out at med use 92. Took 1 exp. pt. to reduce to 90, 6 to reduce to med use 79. Using 6 pts to reduce the pack rendered a pack with a base buff of 500 plus.

The C using the same resources as the D, came out at med use 81. Took 1 pt to reduce to 80, my remaining, 11 pts, where used on the power. The C had a base buff near 500, similiar to the D with the reduced med use.

The increase in med use required has do is require the player to be either a Master Doctor, or have Master Med Knowledge to use D's, where as the players with only 0/2/3/0 can only use C packs.

Whether it was intented or not, perhaps this is a good thing, places more focus on needing a Master Doctor. It also forces players with a minimum skills in Doctor to begin using B's & C's. We lose the D pack market, only to have the B and C pack open.

"A 4/4/4/4 Master Doc"

oh sorry, Master shouldn't have been in there.

I am still against making a doctor experiment down the med use just to use something. ie enhance health and action.

Your more than welcome to believe this will stop dabblers but for myself(only planned on getting 0/4/3/0, hadn't actually gone up the medic tree all the way), I'm not going to be getting any more buffs. It is a pain to go somewhere to get a buff and then travel back and fight. I also couldn't go afk then because I would have just wasted 5k, at least I wouldn't have to worry about that then.

I honestly don't see how this helps Master docs. Did any of you feel like you were being robbed of business? You were still selling them and I was more than happy to pay a decent price for them, maybe not 5k per set, but 2-3k easily. 50-60k for 6 final combines is not very bad.

I finally had an option available to be able to get rid of CH and still be somewhat decent in Melee. If the change sticks, I'll be back to adding more to pet wars.

"I just hope our correspondent is hunting TH with a supersoaker right now !"

Forget the supersoaker, I hope he's got a heavy duty baseball bat!

The programming of this "change" didn't just blip into the patch by accident. Someone had to program it. Meaning they had to have discussed making the change, spent time planning the change, set their programmers to making it and testing it to make sure it worked etc.

Was this ever mentioned ANYWHERE that they were even THINKING about raising the required med us of enhance packs? Were doctors ASKED for their opinions or pro's and con's of how it would affect them?

Nooooo!

They just slammed it through and didn't even have the decency to tell us about it.

I can't even begin to express my disgust for SOE right about now. On all levels, this change and lack of information/documentation is like a huge slap in the face to all doctors.

My opinion may not be warmly welcomed but I believe that this medicine use reajustment is for the best. Enhance D's are the best buffs, and they are a very powerful tool. I think that a medicine use in the 90's before experimaentation is a good thing. I mean you can get the 4th medicine use box for just 2 more skill points and get enhance D's that are almost as good as the ones you were used to. With the addition of mounts I can drop some exploration skills and use my mount to travel quickly.

LOL - you've never crafted one have you? Try 6-10 combines per Enhance schematic on a good day to start.Multiply by 6. Add 6-10 combines for each of the four types of components and the 10 factory runs to make a full set of Enhances. Then toss in the pain of collecting all of our resources for the advanced components.

Either way, they killed a huge market here. I would rather buy them myself than waste another tree of skill points.

Basically they nerfed Doctor dabblers here, further weakening a majority of our templates. They also removed a large source of bulk crafting income for Masters, not very nice of them is it?

I never considered myself a dabbler at 4430 myself, but I guess I hve been branded now.

SOE has now forced me to grind thru crafting and give up being a Mayor.

I am not pleased with this change.

I would suggest they make med use experimentation more powerful to compensate for the change. Instead of taking 6 points to get under 80 - why not 2 with an amazing, 3 with a great. success? 1-2 points would get you to 90, leaving plenty of room to make the med use epxerimented Ds actually better than the Cs....

I can see why a bunch of non Masters are P/O'd - but as I have stated earlier they did fix experimentation and you will be able to get decent Enhance D's at med use 90 and lower in the future. So I fail to see how the master doc crafter is going to lose money on this. Only thing I haven't tried are any new factory crates and whether they will keep the reduced med use or not.

Regardless enhance D's are still an option for non masters... its just that they lose about 50-80 points in final experimentation down to lowering med use. Yesterday my 93 med use 873's were down to 89 med use 813's - is this a big loss?.. no.. are a lot of folks pissed because they can no longer use the buff packs they bought in crates.. yes. It isthe loss offinvestment that people are really P/O'd about here IMO... not the fact that non masters will never be able to use D's. Just an observation - personally I feel for those that are out their investment - but you know crafting enhance D's is one of the few really useful things a master doc can do and craft(who the hell uses stim and wound E's??.. I haven't even made them in the 7 weeks I've been playing a Master Doc).

So anyhow.. those of youwho lost a ton of creditsand time to crafting these packs by the crate... like I said it sucks...and I feel for you. See if you can get some packs remade for you.. maybe it's an option. Maybe a master doctor will buy them from you at a reduced rate.. or take them in partial trade for a new set.. who knows. But this isnt the end of the world.

I want a reversion to the way things were supposed to be. This is not cool. My suggestion is to create Enhance E's.

It's not the fact that they nerfed, Heck, I can even see the reason behind the nerf, Doctor isn't left out of the list of professions that need to show greater benefits for mastering. Yah, it totally screws with my play style but I can adapt.

The real issue though is that they ***STEALTH*** Nerfed. Hopefully though it is just a bug... And as someone before me said... Maybe rather then nerfing Enhance D's they should have dropped Wound E's and added Enhance E's with a 91+ med use in the 900-1000 range. Those Would have a use.

I'm more disappointed in the fact that there hasn't been any official dev response to this issue in 2 days then I am with the issue itself.
