I paid 90k per 28-buff pack of 880 buffpacks that lasted 3h30m from Darkblade. That's 28 buffs at 2250(with just +25 clothing that I paid 100k for). Buffs that people will pay 10k for.I paid 3215 credits per buff.

I paid 70k per 25 crate of 18-use brandy that lasts for about 30 buffs. That's 156 credits for 30 buffs. That's 5 credits for a buff.

I paid 100k per 25 crate of 3-use bivoli that added +25 to my injury healing, capping my +to buffs. I could buff 10 people with one use of bivoli. This allowed me to buff for 2450. I charged 12k for these buffs. That's 1334 credits per use. That's 133 credits per buff.

I paid 100k per 25 crate of 3-use havla. Havla was simply a delicacy for my buff-ees. I did it to speed up my money-making process, I could buff two people per use of havla. Again, 1334 credits per use. 667 credits per buff.

Wow, if I was on your server, I'd buy out your suppliers and resell it at the current price, which is50% to 2x the going price. Sure beats the time and slaving for resourcesused incrafting my own packsfor the same profit margin.

Either way, I rack up a load of money.

If I had a never-ending line, that means with havla I'd make 31k in one minute. That's as much as a rancor mission, but in one minute.

If I buffed for 3 hours... I could make 5.75mill.

I'd like to see someone try that without suffering a mental breakdown. LOL.If you can find mesomeone able and willing todo that day in day out, I'll get my character to do a /kowtow macro targeting him 23/7. LOL.

AND you get to help people.

Agreed. That's one of the best parts about being a doc, in my opinion.

If you're not full-pvp like I am now, then I don't see why EVERYONE wouldn't want to be a doctor.

I disagree. You are generalising. Evenif everyone could do that amazing feat at the even more amazing prices that you listed, not EVERYONE will love to do it. Too many factors that docs have to consider were left out to make this anything close to aconvincing argument.

NO doctors should be whining.

Disagreed. It's their right on the DOCTOR forums, and better done here to get it off their chests than in spatial chat in Coro Starport. I may not agree with everything that they state but neither do I agree to prescribing this to them based on your own individual experience.

If there's an @#@$@#$hole in the crowd, so what? He's a @#$@#$hole. We can't help it.

Agreed. Stop buffing, do something else that excites you. Don't feel obliged to buff the public just because you're a doc. You pay a subscription to ENJOY yourself. lol.

I recently started selling buffs at the starport, and wow Im making a decent profit now, about 300k in an hour, almost as much as fighters running missions.

20k for a buff set, my line stays short, the people who don't want to wait in a long line come to me, and heck my buffs are only 2300-2400, when I charge 20k I don't even get the idiots in my line because they go and wait in the 40 minute line instead because they want cheaper buffs, its alot better on me, and alot better on the fighters who want quick buffs. And I don't even have to use halva! I buy a full set of buffs with 20 uses (20 full buffs) for 100k, 3 hour duration less then 900 power, people will buy them.

If you are a doctor and hate doing the lines because of the stupid people, just charge more (have a little macro every 2 minutes or something) and they won't come near you. In one hour I had only two people out of 30 turn my 20k buffs down, even though there were 3 other doctors, all charging less (10k 12k and 15k)

Ok, I'm new to these boards but bear with me.

My situation:

TKM

Medic 2/2/2/2

Scout 4/x/4/x (Will kill a few rancor and get Hunting IV later (bit easy scout eh?)

I am taking up Master Doc because I like being able to buff myself, perhaps the public, and I like creating better than average objects (specially high buffs and what not).

Now, I agree with what you guys (majority of) are saying. Being paid 10k to sit on the floor and get harassed (by perhaps 25% of players) is no fun ad not particularly profitable. And yea, being TKM at the moment I am money grinding.

I'm happy (expect to pay at least 15k for my buff). I don't understand how people can moan about a 5k difference? It's pathetic when you earn 6 times that increase per mission. Money grinding is just 1) Get buffed 2) Go to Dant 3) Find solo gorup 4) get mission 5) Drink some brandy (6k for 18-21 uses?) 6) find jantas/mokks (not exactly vicious or difficult are they!) 7) Kick lair, and then spinattack2 *spam* 8) collect loads of xp (I'm capped but combat still) and 31-32k. I never loot, but maybe I should, I heard you can get decent loot from jantas? Blood or something.

My point is: I'd be prepared to pay 15-25k for a buff. In PvP events, I think it should be lower (15-20k) cos you aren't earning cash from it. If there are big queues I sometimes ask to be buffed first for 30k. Now it's the doc's choice, and sometimes they say no (I was a little rude once, but once in a bad mood I think the best doc I seen just said if I paid 30k he'd use havla. He starting using before I even paid and the queue took very little time for 5-6 people. I waited till last still, but everyone benefited.

I think being a doctor is more about pride and decent service/enjoyment (some fun in crafting better than average packs etc.) than about money. Like everyone has said, if you want money then go grind missions like I have been. Very easy, but not very rewarding save the credits.

The only people that say docs earn loads of money are the beginners, and people who can't do decent missions. I thought docs were rich at first, but after a while you understand how much grief they have to put up with. The vast majority of people however, when in a good mood, are very polite. I almost always /bow; ty doc, or cheers doc before leaving.

Well, that's my useless rant over with. Sorry to have bored you.

Shilek.
