If you check the experimental properties for buffs, the power experimentation is based on OQ and PE, but the duration experimentation is based on OQ and DR. Both are listed under effectiveness, though.


This means, if you have 900 OQ 300 PE 900 DRavian meat, and 900 OQ 900 DRreactive gas, your effectiveness percentage will be approximately 70% for power, but 90% for duration, so you'll have 9 boxes to fill. Once you pass 70% in your experimentation, though, the power will stop going up, and any further points are only increasing the duration.


I noticed this over the weekend when I was making buffs, but with the opposite effect. I have very high OQ reactive, and high OQ/PE avian, but double digit DR on both. The duration on my buffs was maxing out around 65%, and further experimentation points only raised the power.

since we are discussing experimentation here i'd just like your opinion,....


I was trying to make a schematic for advanced biological efect controllers, i have 960OQ 990UT tat fibreplast and 960OQ 650PE lok wild wheat.... I seem to only get great successes, nothing else, purely great successes but i want AMAZING successes... im almsot giving up, its ridiculous, 30 greats in a row... should i just accept this? i put 6 points in power and 4 in charges and got 22power 16charges...

If you want the best experimental effectiveness, you need high oq, pe and Decay on the avian meat + reactive gas. Firestorm is corrct that decay resistance adds to experiment effectiveness as ive done tests with different decay gases, even though the formula only calls for oq/pe. The sub components will just give you a higher "base" to work with, around 400 base is usualy very good (before experimenting)

mebbe it's not the dev's fault but your own, all you have to do is look at the schematic, it tells you very plain whatyou need and what stats to look for in your resources ?


also, testing, just crafting stuff with different resources teaches you a lot
