tef clears after 5 minutes, and he was overt, not teffed. you must be a rebel to heal an overt rebel

And after you go to the REB Or IMP NPC to become covert (yes it will take one hour to become covert). But you have to be Loged in the game for that one hour..You can not log out and come back 1 or 2 hours later and be covert.

if you can see the symbol near his name then he is overt. if your neutral then you wont be able to heal him etc. if your the same faction as he is, then you will be able to heal but that earns you a Tef for doing so, opening you up for attack by the opposite faction.

Nvm, some great warrior came and killed him while he was afk and without armor and buff.

Personally I don't agree with this "it wouldn't be wise" thing.

If I want to sympathize with a Rebel...then I should be able to do so.

If I do help a TEFed or Overt Rebel, I should be TEFed myself (4 times longer than usual)and open to attack by my own faction....even though I am a Colonel in the Imperial Army.

TEF or Overt?

I know what happend because he was siiting right behind me, so its not a half story, I got all details.

He is reb.

He went Kor Vella to see a sword trainer (going novice sword)

Got scanned, and ignored it, got a agro with a imp NPC and killed him.

Got a TEF. (we agree that it is the litlle flag right to the name, right?)

Ships back and go medic center.

I then start to heal him to get med exp, and I get the "it would be unwise to help such a patient"

I look at his screen and there is no sign of a flag on his console.

I could see his reb symbol on his head on my screen........(until he got killed).

(And yes, he will make his toon neutral.)

Sounds like he was forced Overt during the scan.

That is the only way you will see the faction symbol next too his name.

Ya, I agree with you. If you want to heal a faction of whatever you like why shouldnt you be able to as long as you neutral.

But maybe its part of a bigger scope I havent thought about.

From previous posts, you said you saw a symbol. Therefore he was overt. Unbuffed, unarmored, afk, loading, doing chores, are no excuse for this person to not die. If you dont want to be killed when overt, then, don't go overt. If you dont want to be scanned by stormies and flipped overt, then, GO NEUTRAL, or better yet, attack the stormies, break the scan and run off. In 5 minutes the TEF will be clear and you can live safely again.

I have no pity for anyone who is overt. Just as I expect the same. Overt=asking for a fight. It doesnt mean "See my red dot on your radar, send me a tell to see if it is ok with me when/where/how you attack me."

My siggie got nerfed.

It was due for a change anyways
